Study Hall -- Thursday, October 27th

As usual, Sarah sits in front of the room -- however, she's now taken to watching everybody who comes into the room with an unusually close eye and scribbling down something in her notebook in an ominous way.

In honor of the upcoming Halloween holiday, there's a small cauldron full of candy on her desk, and the puppies lie in a basket next to the desk all wearing little orange bows around their necks.

*notices a kindred spirit when he sees one and grins*

Mechanically inclined, huh? *offers his hand* Duo Maxwell, at your service! I don't believe we've met, but us mechanical types gotta stick together!

"Bridge Carson," he thinks for a moment, "you're the guy who built the robot bunny, right?"

*grins a bit sheepishly and scratches his head*

Uh, yeah, that was me. *laughs* I was workin' on gettin' all those, er, kinks out, but I got distracted by fixin' up my Gundam. He didn't uh, borrow somethin' from you, did he?

"Nah. I just think it would've been funny if he met my dog, RIC."

*thinks* Oh yeah! I've seen that little guy before--didn't he get out like, 2nd week of school or somethin'? That was pretty good craftsmanship--you make him yourself?

"Yeah, that was an adventure. And nah, he's standard police equipment where I come from... and actually," he whispers, "if you happen to meet my guardians at all this weekend? Don't mention him. I kinda... borrowed him. Without permission."

*nods* Sounds like a way better peacekeeping system than where I come from!

*grins* I hear ya, man. Pretty much everything I've got is borrowed; especially my Gundam--though that was stol-borrowed with permission to do the borrowing. *shakes head* I'm gonna have a heck of a time keeping news of the Little Pink Terror from reaching my, er, guardian. That rabbit got way outta control. My frie-guardian'll pull his gun on me for that for sure. *laughs* Was pretty damn funny, though, if I do say so myself. *grins*

Anders chuckles quietly. "Thinking RIC could use a friend?"

"You gotta admit, it would be funny to put them in a room together and see what happens," Bridge smirks.

"A police dog and a rabbit thief?" Anders starts snickering. "Just as long as that's not while I'm watching RIC for you this weekend."

Borrower. Rabbit borrower. *laughs*

"Borrower. Right." Anders grins. "RIC might not see it that way though."

*grins* All the more challenge, then, eh??

John's actually beginning to think these two might be able construct a small engine for his erector ship rocket.

"Hey guys. Once I build this thing, you think you could build some kind of engine for it? Something that wouldn't melt the blocks but would let it fly?"

*grins* Sure man. Whatever you want it to do. How far you want it to go? I'm assumin' you don't want it fit for space travel, but rather somethin' with a remote, yeah?

*looks to Bridge* You want in? *grins*

John nods excitedly. "No space travel but something pretty far in the air will do. Remote, definitely. Might be fun to buzz a few people around the school. Once I'm done, I'll give it a name, and all three of us can write our names on the ship before it takes it first flight."

*grins* Sweet. What're the pieces made out of? Maybe we can start on the engine while you're puttin' the whole thing together.

John grins back. "Metal. Once I break open the ship, I'll check to see if we have to hollow out the middle or not to store the engine. Metal should make it strong enough for it to resist some heat so you guys can go nuts with engine size and speeds."

"I've gotta warn you, man... most of the spare parts I've salvaged from around here? Seem to have some strange effects on whatever it is I use 'em for. Just so you know."

John shakes his head, still excited. "No, that'll be even better, especially with something remote controlled. We get it up in the air, who knows what it'll do. I mean, how funny would it be to send the ship up and it starts...dropping water balloon, for example, on ~~Anders~~ some unsuspecting student?!"

You noticed that too, huh??? I was havin' a hard time figuring out why the rabbit reacted the way he did. I've gotta bunch of stuff my friend sent me from her salvage yard, so maybe we can use some of that. Though I haven't gotten around to seein' if stuff from where I come from reacts funny around here, either.

"Sam Carter told me about a junkyard in town, if you want less risky parts. Unless, y'know, that's not as much fun." Anders pops a gumball into his mouth and grins.

"Oh hell yeah." Bridge grins.

John laughs. "Awesome, awesome. We can do fly by's when students are in class with the ship!"

Anders buries his head in his arms again, and has the distinct feeling that John would probably try to fly the rocket by his head while he's falling asleep in class.
