Study Hall -- Thursday, October 27th

As usual, Sarah sits in front of the room -- however, she's now taken to watching everybody who comes into the room with an unusually close eye and scribbling down something in her notebook in an ominous way.

In honor of the upcoming Halloween holiday, there's a small cauldron full of candy on her desk, and the puppies lie in a basket next to the desk all wearing little orange bows around their necks.

Paige walks in and seeing the puppie's smiles and picks one up also taking a hand full of candy

"So we can just play with them while we're here?"

Han wanders in and recognizes Paige from the afternoon at Spike's.

"Hey. Understand you needed a picture?"

Paige smiles and gets out a camera "yeah, it's for my music class, your surname's Solo, right?"

"It's what I use. No Da means no last name, and since I'm a single-birth, yeah, Solo."

He gives her the Number Six Extra Charming Smile for the camera.

Paige takes the picture noting the extra charming smile

"Thanks a lot Han, any time I can do you a favor let me know ok?"

"Anytime. I'll keep it in mind."

"No problem." she smiles

He tips her another smile, no more real than the last and head out to the next class of his full Thursday.

*looks at Han, shakes his head, and walks away, taking the puppy over to a quiet corner of the library*

Han notices but keeps his attention on Paige.

*plays with the puppy,wrestling a bit with it, making it growl and snap at him, playfully*

*comes in the door, close to the Jayne/puppy wrestling match*

*smiles, watching*

*looks up at him, breifly, then back down to the puppy, who is knawing at his bio book*

*kneels down to pet*

*is responded to nicely by the puppy for a few seconds until it thinks he's Jayne and promptly gets his hand pounced and nipped*

"Yeah, sure, kid. Knock yourself out. They need to know the scent of non-Terminators so they won't tear you limb from limb."

Sarah seems to take silent note that Paige asked that question and nods as she scribbles something down.

Paige smiles and takes the puppy over to a desk only slightly worried that the principal is making a note after speaking to her

Sonia smiles and waves at Paige as she enters study hall.

Paige waves back and walks over, "me and Geoff broke up," she tells her sounding less sad than she expected

Sonia starts, and gapes at Paige. "You did? Oh, Paige, I'm sorry! Are you okay?"

Paige nods,"We still love each other but we decided we shouldn't be together right now,I'm hoping maybe one day things will get back to normal, but right now I'm seeing someone else."

She holds onto the puppy tightly and looks over to Sawyer

Sonia follows Paige's gaze over to Sawyer, then nods and smiles at the girl. She does seem to be in better spirits than the other night.

"Vell, as long as you're happy, right? That's what's most important. And at least the break vos...amicable."

She reaches over and scratches the puppy's head, playing with one of his floppy ears.

"well everything's simple with him, I mean I think the problem with Geoff and I is that our feelings were too intense, I don't see that happening with Sawyer."

The puppy squirms in Paige's arms, "I think he likes you!"

Sonia laughs, and smiles. "Yes, I know exactly vhat you mean. I'm happy for you, though."

She strokes the soft fur under the puppy's neck, and grins when he licks her hand. "May I hold him?"

Paige smiles and hands the puppy over to Sonia, "sure, I think it's a he, but well I thought he'd not appreciate me checking too closely," she laughs
