Hey guys. Today I'm turning over the remote to Carter and she's going to be running the class today.

And *NO* that does mean you get to run amok. (I'm looking at you O'Neill!)

Show her the same respect you do me. Or in O'Neill's case more than you have for me.

Mac hands the remote to Carter and lets her explain today's assignment.

Mac fiddles with the remote and the room phases into the normal shop class setting.

"If you kids have any questions, feel free to ask me now."

"Anders? Cally? I've got most of the materials ordered in for your Pyramid thing and they are in the supply room. ~~Just don't make out in the supply room. It's too cliche.~~

Sam stands in front of the class. She's initially nervous, but after a few moments it becomes apparent that she ~~is used to briefing groups of people~~ has done this before.

"Okay." She glances briefly at Mac. "Today's assignment is really about teamwork more than anything else. Knowing how to work with someone else in a tricky or dangerous situation is just as important as knowing how to get out of it."

"So, the first thing is, I want you to split into pairs."

She signals to Kitty and Mac. A large round mechanical structure is hovering about eighteen inches off the floor. "What you've got here is a touch-sensitive bomb. Simply put, if you touch it on the casing, or the casing touches you (or anything else), you're dead."

"There is a way to defuse the bomb, however. Unfortunately, it's written in code (http://www.history.navy.mil/faqs/faq61-4.htm). You will be responsible for working together to crack the code, which is written underneath the bomb, and then defusing it. This shouldn't take more than one class."

"Oh, and one more thing," Sam said, smiling. "The bomb doesn't stay at a constant height. At random intervals, it will both raise and lower itself."

"Have fun, and come to me with any questions."

CODE: Ah-Del-Tahi! Bo-o-ne-tah Al-Cha-Nil Ah-Deel-Tahi. Al-Cha-Nil Be-Ka-Denh Besh-Tsosie Li-chi Dineh-Ba-Whoa-Blehi O-Zhi. Al-Cha-Nil Al-N-As-Dzoh Tchil-Lhe-Soi Besh-Tsosie Dinl-chi Nish-Cla-Jih-Goh.

Kitty monitors the console. "Cally, if you wanna watch what I'm doing today, come on over. Let me know if you have any questions."

Han is eyeing the bomb suspiciously. Floating is never good.

He looks over the code and starts figuring frequency tables while waiting for a partner.

*looks around for, surprise, Anders*

I'll come up as soon as I'm done with the assignment, Kitty! *waves, smiling*

*teams up with, no surprise, Cally*

*still has a death-grip on the cup of coffee in each hand*

One of those for me? *yawn* Or are you double-fisting today?

"Er, anyone want to pair up?" Rogue has a large glass of iced tea in her hand, trying in vain to look completley awake.

The coffee I left you this morning wasn't enough, huh? *grins and kisses the top of Cally's head, then hands over one of the cups*

*yawns again* You left me coffee?

I was so tired I didn't even notice. *takes a sip and smiles*

So... nothing like codebreaking to start off a day, huh? *looks at the code, and just blinks*

...we are so doomed.

Yeah, tell me about it. I think I blistered my throat this morning gulping coffee just so I could be awake enough to get out the door.

*stares at the code*

Frak of a day to be not-awake. We're totally doomed.

So... *sips some more coffee, and clicks her tongue, thinking*

...this makes no sense. I swear, it must be in some sort strange language or something. *scratches her head*

*stares at the code some more, gulping coffee*

I have enough trouble with the Earth languages from Classics. How the frak do we figure out what the code means?

*drinks more coffee, and sighs*

We fail. Or we just try the bomb without knowing what it says, cause unless we suddenly get a book that tells us the code, we're kinda doomed on that front.

[ooc: Because no way can a sleepy Cally and Anders crack a code that the Japanese couldn't break in WW2. No. Possible. Way.]

*drinks more coffee and sighs too*

Yeah, I'm kinda thinking we blow this one big-time.
