Ethics Class [Thursday, January 13, 1st period]
Rather than the usual Jedi in front of the class today, there were a pair of Germans Inhuman royals there to teach. Yeah, this can only end well for everyone involved.
Blackagar closed his eyes and tilted his head down as though to give the floor to his companion. Which would be good practice for her considering their future...
Said companion began with, "I am Medusalith, and this is Blackagar, and Professor Skywalker, whose hair I am not jealous of, regardless of what he may tell you," because why would she be? Come on, "could not be here today, so we will be teaching you ethics. Or human ethics, at least, which are so ridiculous at times that I still cannot even begin to comprehend--"
There was only a tiny shift in posture behind her and a look that could only be classified as amused indulgence. And not a snap because he wasn't a goddamn Skrull.
"--yes, well," Medusalith said, smoothing her hair and collecting herself, "as I was saying, we will be teaching you about--what is the subject of this class?" she asked, redirecting her attention over her shoulder toward Blackagar. Look, she was just the interpreter, people. "Honesty?"
He nodded back, shifting back into a more comfortable spot leaning against the teacher's desk.
"To that end, as an exploration of honesty and lying, we will be playing a hu--a game I have been told people sometimes play, called 'two truths and a lie.' That is, you will tell the class two statements that are true and one that is not, and then they will attempt to guess which is which." She didn't see why this was fun, but it wasn't her call. And now for another glance to Blackagar for her cue.
Again, it was impossible to figure out just what she was getting from him as very little changed in both facial expression and posture until he looked away, eyes downcast. But it was more than enough from her to get what their truths and lie would be.
The rest of the class couldn't see it, as her face was turned away from them, but Medusalith's expression softened briefly before she turned back to them, all brisk and businesslike, and said, "Two truths and one lie about Blackagar and myself: We have never been to Germany. We are betrothed. And our dog can track anyone, anywhere." No one ever said the lie couldn't be something you wanted to be true.

"I have an older sister, I've killed a giant scorpion with a crowbar, and my screenname on the Internet used to be Hi Ho Cheerio!," she said in the end.
Re: Discuss!
"How big is 'giant'?" Rinoa asked with a shudder.

Re: Discuss!
Because: gross.
Re: Discuss!
Actually, two of those were lies, but Peter didn't know that.

For one, she was hoping that, if it wasn't true, Katniss might stumble on the details.
For another? She was honestly curious, whether it was true or not.
Re: Discuss!
It was entirely true, though she hadn't mentioned yet that her hearing had been perfectly restored by the Capitol after the Games had ended.
Re: Discuss!
"My father is head of the military, I was once shot into space, and I have six toes on my left foot."
Re: Discuss!
"Uhm? I work for the Government, my eyes are red because I have laser eyes, I once got arrested for breaking the moon in half."
There?

That's right, Bruce Wayne. He's taking that from you. Deal with it.
