Newspaper Crew Meeting: 16:00 FHS-20:00 FHS

Chloe sits in the Journalism room, her video camera in one hand, and a cup of coffee in the other. She tilts back in her chair, reviewing what's on the video tape as she waits for everyone else to arrive.

Chihaya peeks in then slinks to sit in the back of the room. Hardly able to hide since...no one else other than Chloe is there.

Jake peaks out from behind a stack of old newspapers. "Hey! Chihaya!"

Angela walks cautiously into the meeting, looking not entirely sure she wants to be there. She waves to Chloe. "Hey, I was thinking about joining? I mean, I wrote an article last week, and it was sort of fun, so ... may as well, like, make it official. Right?"

Squeaking, Chihaya jumps in his chair. "Jake, hiya!" He grins. "Is it ok that I'm here?"

"Yeah, sure." Jake pushes the newspaper stack away. He grins. "I saw you got the posters up. Do you get to school like really early or something?"

Chloe totally doesn't get the grin of someone with a new newspaper minion. Not at all. Because that might be scary.

"That would be fantastic," she says. We can always use new people, and your article last week was great."

"I like to be up with the sun," Chihaya chirped. "It's the best part of the day. Not noisy, things are still waking up. I'll put up the last poster tomorrow and tomorrow night I'll put another spot on the radio and Friday will be the last day for the display in studyhall." He wrinkles his nose. "Think that'll be ok for the campaign?"

Jake wrinkles his nose back. "I guess? But I'm not sure if we've got enough reactions. Should maybe think of something really good for Friday?"

Angela looks proud. "You think? Thanks. I enjoyed writing it more than I thought I would. Geoff's really neat. And I told Jake I'd do something on the dance club, too, but Kitty wasn't around over the weekend so it won't be in until this week."

Looking vaguely disgruntled, Krycek trails into the room and gets coffee before taking a chair with a sigh. He's still not an actual newspaper member, but he figures it's close enough.

"Dunno," Chihaya slumps in his chair. "I'm out of ideas at this point. I got enthusiasm for several people but even I am at my wits end."

He brightens. "We did do what we were supposed tho'. That counts for something, right?"

"It should." Jake nods. "Well, I hope so, anyway. Not our fault if the rest of the student body are, like, pathetic sheep." He grins to take the edge of the comment.

With a deadline looming and a busy weekend ahead of him, Angelus stopped by to work on his article.

Wanting and doing were two separate things, however. He looked like someone scribbling away in a notebook. He was dicking around on more sketches.

On the plus side, he did bring coffee.

"I do think, yes." Chloe laughs. "Geoff's a great guy, from what I've heard, so I wasn't surprised that you got something good out of him. And we can run your article about the dance club this week, if you'd like."

"Well, I want to kick up some dust," Chihaya says with far more bravery than he feels. His ideas, which he wants to discuss with Chloe and Rory before putting them into action, are by far the hardest things he's tried to do.

Getting involved with Earthian politics, even if it's on a small scale like a school.

Chloe gives Angelus a nod, pleased to see him working. "Hey. How's it going?"

Looking away from Chihaya, Jake spots Krycek walking in and brightens. He finishes up his conversation and shuffles over to Krycek. He snagges Krycek's coffee, kisses him quickly and sits down on the table in front of him. "Hey!" He pauses. "Have Chloe asked you to do anything this week?"

Rory bounds into the newspaper meeting, looking fairly cheerful. "Hello, people! How is everyone today?"

One might notice that she's wearing her Ethics slave badge.

"Geoff's a good friend," Angela says. "You should look for him in town sometime. Though the time travel thing can be kind of frustrating because you end up trying to explain, like, insurance or movies or cell phones. It makes you realize how much you *don't* actually understand."

"I'll have the dance club thing in as soon as I can. I'm not sure I can take any other assignments, though -- my mom and my sister will be around, and they'll probably suck up most of my time."

"Hi Rory," Angela waves, looking at the badge, "Or, um, slave-Rory. I'm okay. You?"

Krycek's faintly less-than-stellar mood fades easily as Jake greets him. He smirks up at Jake, shaking his head once. "Nothing yet, but I figured I might as well accept the inevitable and find out what hasn't been done." He waited for Jake to have a sip and then retrieved his cup to have some as well.

"Kicking up dust? That sounds like my kind of fun," Chloe says, coming up behind Chihaya. She gives him a slightly embarassed look. "Hi. I know I should know your name. You're in Journalism, right?"

"I am doing fabulously," Angelus said. Sure enough, he looked to be in an almost disgustingly chipper mood. "You?"

"Yes. I'm Chihaya!" He holds out his hand to shake. "I'm gate crashing tonight. Hope that's ok!"

"Oh crap," Chloe says, spotting Rory's badge. She goes over and grabs her badge from her bag, putting it back on. "If anyone asks, I didn't forget to put this back on after lunch."
