Newspaper Crew Meeting: 16:00 FHS-20:00 FHS

Chloe sits in the Journalism room, her video camera in one hand, and a cup of coffee in the other. She tilts back in her chair, reviewing what's on the video tape as she waits for everyone else to arrive.

"I do travel in planes," he confirmed. "Before that, boats. Before that... I guess people walked a lot. I'm not that old."

Veronica suddenly has a million more questions about living life as a vampire, but she looks around and figures now is not the time or place to ask.

"I hate flying," she confides.

Angelus leaned forward so he could confide back. "Me too. I keep expecting the damn thing to fall out of the sky."

Veronica tilts her head in confusion.

"But it wouldn't kill you if it did, right?"

"Lot of things don't kill me," Angelus grinned, "doesn't mean they're fun."

"Oh, good point," she says. "I... well... I'm a little claustrophobic," she confesses.

"I can see how planes would do that for a person," he gestured to himself. "Don't need to breathe, so hard for a confined space to bother me much. Not that I enjoyed living underground mind you."

Veronica shudders. All she can think of is being locked in a freezer and smelling gasoline.

"Yeah, tight spaces are so not my friend," she says. "I can't even begin to imagine living underground."

"I can't imagine why anyone would want to," Angelus said. "Well, some are too ugly to try otherwise. I suppose that's part of it."

Realizing he's speaking too generally he adds, "I'm talking about my kind here, not humans. Not all vampires have a pretty face like mine."

Veronica gives him a sardonic smile. "I bet they're not all as modest as you, either."

That earns her a laugh. "Hey, if you saw their ugly mugs you'd know I was speaking the God's honest truth. For some there's nowhere to go but up."

[ooc: for the record, he would so be inviting her on the Vegas trip if not for the huge cup of Awk. Ward. that is her and Logan being exes.]

"Huh, so I guess vampires aren't that different from humans after all," she says.

[ooc: omg i totally understand... he could make it up to her though *wink*]

"Not really," Angelus propped his head up on one hand ~~much like Veronica in her icon~~. "Which makes sense when you think about it. We're made from humans. How different can we be?"

[ooc: Heh heh. I'd say bring back a shot glass but that's Lilly's thing ;) ]

"Good point. I think I'll have to remember to mention that in my article." She looks down at the papers spread in front of her. "Which you have successfully distracted me from working on."

[ooc: lol - btw, daddy mars is coming for parents weekend]

"Well," he said, completely deadpan, "I am evil."

[ooc: YES!! I am far too happy about that than is probably healthy. BTW, I assume you watched tonight's ep? AACK! AAAAACK!!!!]

"Oh that's right, I completely forgot," she says, in a false scared tone. "Please, Mr. Evil Vampire, don't distract me from my responsibilities!" She clasps her hands over her heart and swoons like a southern belle.

[ooc: yes, and there are no words. there may be coherent thoughts in my rl journal tomorrow - but no guarantees]

"Never!" he got up to loom over her dramatically, waggling his fingers as all cartoon evil masterminds should. "I shall thwart you with my nefarious ways. I will use the most diabolical weapons around, including my wit, my charm and, most devlish still - a television! You'll never do homework again!"

[ooc: is there a new ep next week?? Ack! I just remembered I'm going to be in VA next week. Now I don't know what to hope for!]

Chloe glances over at Veronica and Angelus, snickering at the two of them. "Uh oh, Veronica, look out. He's got wit and charm at his disposal!"

"She already shot down my looks as being not being distracting," Angelus said, "a vamp's gotta do what a vamp's gotta do."

Veronica flutters her eyelashes. "Oh, no, who ever will save me from the big, bad vampire and his evil television?"

She giggles. "Seriously though, I should work on this article."

[ooc: *wails* no new ep for two weeks. And - what part of VA? Near DC? Cause if so? We must meet for coffee!]

~~Seriously! She couldn't be more his type if she tried. Heck, she was even on pep squad. Granted that's not actually a cheerleader, but it's close ;)~~

"Yeah, I should probably stop pretending I'm working and actually work," Angelus said, sitting down again. "Otherwise Chloe will stab me in the leg with a pencil."

[ooc: Williamsburg. Though the original plan was that I was going to do a quick stop in DC. Sadly that's been scrapped, phooey. Don't suppose you're free next Friday morning and can make it down to where I'll be?]

"Ah, I see word of my punishment methods has spread," Chloe teases. "This is a very good thing."

"You're cruel but fair, I like that."
