Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II

In order to give people a place to get away from the traffic jam of the buffet and information tables, most of the chairs and tables had been set up further out on the lawn, away from the school building. The bonfires were going strong, and there was plenty of room for everyone to sit down and enjoy themselves. Assuming they weren't too busy still trying to figure this place out.

[OCD is up! This is the FIRST post for general mingling. Please use this post first, if your browser can handle the comment load. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are all here and there's more room for mingling here. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"You want people to know you?"

"Well," Juliet began earnestly, biting her lip, "not just for being a Darling, of course. But I'm working on a lot of projects in New York. It was nice when Page 6 sent someone to our fundraiser. You don't want to be known?"

Tony cleared his throat. "You've never heard of Stark International then?"

Juliet squinted, as if thinking hard about it.

"It sounds like it should ring a bell, but ... no," she said. "Now I feel bad. And you have no idea who Tripp Darling is?"

Not in the slightest. Tony shook his head, but gave her a sympathetic shrug. "Only a few people have," he admitted. "So, your family are philanthropists?"

Juliet shrugged a little. "My father is a developer," she said, clearly finding it odd to explain this at all. "But he tries to give back to the community, and he's always encouraged us to get involved. Besides, fundraisers are good parties. Are you a Stark?"

"Tony Stark," he confirmed. "I haven't actually been to too many fundraisers. I think my dad sent some checks to them, though."

Usually when they had something to do with saving people in 3rd world countries. Or supporting museums.

"Juliet Darling," Juliet supplied. "You should go sometime. Usually there are trays with champagne and you get to dress up."

Yeah, that so wasn't this Tony's thing.

"Maybe when I'm done with school I will," he said, nodding and hoping she believed him. "I'd rather stay in my normal clothes, though. Suits just seem really uncomfortable."

"You just have to get the right cut," Juliet said. "And maybe tug the shirt out and the tie down. Besides, suits are cute."

"Really?" Yes, yes. Get advise on girls from a socialite who was nearly the same as Whitney Stane.

"I have a twin brother," Juliet reminded him. "I know boy's clothes, and I wouldn't lie. Promise."
