Library, Tuesday
It was before dawn when Rinoa -- eyes rimmed red, and with a tendency to leak -- opened the library for her shift. She couldn't sleep, not after what she'd heard on the radio. (Nor had she particularly wanted to sleep, considering the bizarre fever-dream masquerade she'd woken up from last night.)
And so Rinoa was here. She had coffee, and she was biting back a tendency to snap. Someone she cared about was in danger: to a large and scary new part of her, that meant she should unleash destruction until all the bad stuff was dead. She was supposed to rely on her Knight to keep her steady, at times like this. No one had told her what to do if it was her Knight who was in danger.
The Library was open. Especially if you wanted to help with research.

Talk to Rinoa
Re: Talk to Rinoa
"Rinoa," he said gratefully as he made it to the library. "Hello. I ... was a little worried you wouldn't be here."
Re: Talk to Rinoa
She nearly flew out of her chair, reaching to pull him into a tight, breathless hug.
"I couldn't sleep," she said. "I want so badly to be out there but I ... I can't. Not like this."
Not with her control hanging by the slightest thread.

"Hey," she greeted as she approached. "How are you holding up?"
Maybe it was a dumb question, but she was concerned.
Re: Talk to Rinoa
Rinoa needed more coffee. And, she realized belatedly, she needed to hug her roommate, so now seemed like a good time to do that.
"Thank you," she said.

So when she would gasp or mutter something in confusion as she flipped pages back and forth, Raven probably could hear her.

Okay, Rinoa wasn't going to let herself think about that. It was only going to sound better and better, if she did.
Everyone was mostly quiet, as they sat researching, but she'd caught the odd glimpse of Raven's eyes. They looked how Rinoa felt.
Which was why, on her next trip to the coffee machine, she'd brought back a cup for Raven.

This somehow meant stealing John's laptop and taking up residence in the library.
Re: Research
So there she was in full bookworm mode, trying to make some sense of what she was reading.
Re: Research
"Any luck?" she asked the woman closest to her, giving her a tired, sad smile.

And, oh, yes, there'd be coffee. Lots and lots of coffee.
And let's not talk about the Bog, shall we? You try dealing with that with a nose like Angua's...
Re: Research
Thus, the library. He was pretty sure there wouldn't be a book helpfully labeled "Crystal Bubbles and Who They Belong To", but he had to do something.
Re: Research
Which made it a bit ironic that she was sitting a table in front of a school-issued laptop, once again searching the web, but at least there was a pile of books near her elbow now. One of them was even open.

She was looking at photos, mostly of labyrinths, and remembering that there was always a key to get out of them. But they varied so much, those in Greece to those in France, those in Ireland to those in China. Surely there had to be some commonality, though.
Re: Research
"Guys?" she asked, eyes widening. "Can someone take a look at this?"
Because she thought she might have hit the jackpot.

Also, he wanted to register a protest against having to cross a rope bridge to get to work. He had a feeling he'd be sleeping in his office again soon enough.
He sighed and made more coffee.
