What It Takes To Be A Badass | Friday | Period 2

Loki had spent all morning trying to figure out a way to make his class do some of the accounting shit he still had left to do for the apartment building but failed at thinking of a way at adapting it to the class. For that, he felt sad. He'd have to try harder next time.

He was still in class though as the lesson he had come up with was pretty fucking awesome. It required the Danger Shop so that's where they were today.

"Being a badass means being cool under pressure," he started, arms crossed. "It means not freaking and wetting yourself at the first sign of trouble. It means keeping your fucking head in high stress situations so you can get out of the mess and keep on going. To do that, you've got to have confidence in yourself and your abilities. I'm not here to give you a fucking pep talk though. That's not my job."

And he'd sooner vomit glass before he got a job as an inspirational speaker.

"If you're in a high stress situation, play to your abilities. If you can beat the shit out of someone, do that. If you can talk your way out of it, do that. If you can use your magic mojo, do that. That's the easiest way to keep your head. Of course, it's not always going to be that easy. You might have to fight if you're not a fighter. You might have to do some computer shit and you're not a fucking gamer nerd. When that happens, you're more likely to freak the fuck out. You're also more likely to look like a total badass if you get through the situation. In those situations when you're at a disadvantage, the confidence comes in handy. Knowing that you can do this shit and not caring about the consequences. If you think you're gonna die, get captured, get your clothes dirty, it's going to hold you back. Be uninhibited. Let it loose. Crank it up, what the fuck ever."

With that said, Loki got the simulation going. The sim took them to an incredibly high bridge. There were bungee cords set up. Below the bridge, however, was red hot molten lava.

"This is your assignment for today. You're going to have to bungee off this bridge towards what might be a very bad ending. You gonna take that chance? You think you can do it. Let's see, shall we?"

Loki motioned for the students to get going.

Calvin needed very little prompting to immediately start getting suited up to jump.

Honestly, it was a minor miracle the idea of bungee-jumping over molten lava hadn't occurred to him before this.

Cloud saw, suited up, and bungee jumped. Didn't have the ring it should had, but it was an awesome feeling altogether. If they had had more classes like this...

Once he was up again, he started to consider jumping again. Although maybe it would be polite to let the others jump, too. He had a hat to mess with and wish he could just leave it in a lava pit, anyway.

Kurt didn't suit up. He just grinned at everyone, wrapped his tail around one of the bungee cords, and did a backflip off the bridge.

If he lost his grip or the cord was too long, he could always teleport, after all.

Of course Quinn was going to try the bungee jump -- she was almost certain she couldn't actuallyget hurt in school. She fiddled with the equipment until it felt ice and secure, closed her eyes so she wouldn't see the lava, and jumped.

Alexander had grown up with the constant threat of falling off a mountain to his death, which could either give him an intense fear of such an activity, or a pleased reassurance that they were doing this with bungee cords.

After inspecting the cord for a few moments, he was glad he was feeling more toward the latter than the former. After all, one must not be afraid of the obstacles around them, but must be bold and conquer them.

So away he went, losing his santa hat on the way, but, by the time he'd reached the bottom, he'd had another, miraculously.

Lately, it seemed all Lindsay did was take crazy chances. At least bungee jumping wouldn't lead to a horrible embarrassing situation. It also gave her the chance to lose the stupid Santa hat along the way. That's what she hoped for as she jumped.

Oh, like hell was Jason just going to stand here. He didn't waste any time in getting suited up, smirking as he looked down at the lava below. This was going to be fun.
