It was Thanksgiving Day. It was time for parades, football and food. Currently, Alex was leaning against one of the walls in the kitchen, watching the catering company set up for dinner. There was a shitload of food and his stomach growled just watching.

It was good to be president. He got to delegate everything.

When one of the caterers stepped forward and thrust a plastic wrapped garment bag in his hand, Alex frowned.

"What?"

"Outfits for the dinner," the caterer said. "The contract states that we make and you serve the food. No fulfillment of the contract, no food."

Confused, Alex unzipped the bag and peeked inside. The costume was not cool at all.

"Are you serious?" Alex asked, glaring. "No way!"

"No costumes," the caterer said, already signaling his workers to get ready to package the food up, "no food."

Alex continued glaring at the caterer and the costume. He hated his life.

"I'm saying you're lying," Luke said. He eyed Percy's plate. "You better be careful. It's not like you need any more detentions for fighting."

"Yeah, the teacher didn't show last time," Percy said, shrugging. "I'm beginning to wonder if she's all talk and no memory or something. She wasn't there last class either, you saw. I could have punched Nico but I didn't."

Luke rolled his eyes. "I'm so proud of you for holding back. You might be growing as a person."

Percy shrugged and tried not to look too smug. "I am, I know. See, you're impressed now and I didn't even have to work at it."

"I'm always impressed when you manage not to be a complete tool," Luke said. "It's a rare thing."

"Impressed is impressed," Percy said, shrugging. He'd take it. "You can't take that back, Luke."

"I don't but it's nice to be able to say I did if someone asks," Percy replied, shrugging. "Sort of like a medal."

Luke couldn't help but smile at that. "Well I can't say I hate the thought of you bragging about me."

"Don't get too excited, I don't have that many friends," Percy said and laughed. "It'd be bragging to like Nico and maybe Kitty."

"Yeah, I doubt Nico believes me and I don't see Kitty enough to really gauge what she thinks," Percy said, shrugging. "They still don't know of your oh so impressive skills, Luke."

"Oh that's all right. They don't have to know, I suppose," Luke said. "Just so long as you're still impressed with my skills."
