Library, Tuesday

Rinoa was more subdued than her usual, today at the library. Nothing dramatic, nothing huge -- just a bad headache that wouldn't seem to clear up. Ugh.

It was probably for the best that you mod your library today.

Scully nodded immediately, sober but pleased at his agreement. "Any reasonable precautions you would recommend, I'll comply with. I was hoping a friend or two could go with me-- Spock? And Claudia Donovan? As back-up. I understand it's... temperamental, back there."

"Could they either come meet with me, or get notes from teachers or their parents or something?" Henry asked hesitantly. "I like the idea of back-up, but I know you from the clinic and I don't know them."

"I'm fairly certain, yes. I'll tell them it's a condition of going along," Scully agreed, relieved. She frowned, then asked, "The week after Thanksgiving, would that be okay? That should give them enough time to get the notes."

"That's better for me anyhow," Henry said, relived she didn't want to do it, like, today. "Got a day in mind? I'll ... throw a pie back int here to keep the critters happy or something."

Scully shuffled her own schedule in her mind, paused, shuffled Claudia and Spock's work schedules, and said, "Thursday or Friday, I think. After classes, if that's not a problem. And-- pie?" Seriously?

"I used to have an aide who swore whatever was back there just wanted treats once in a while," Henry explained. "Anemone -- I don't know if you got her in time to meet her."

He missed the girl and her pet.

"No, I don't believe so. I tended to hibernate, most of the summer when I first arrived, so I may have missed her," Scully admitted. "Well, why not treats? It makes as much sense as singing flowers and spontaneous truth-telling." She smiled. "Thank you, Mr. DeTamble. I appreciate your allowing this."

"Not a problem at all," Henry said, which wasn't entirely true: He just figured Scully seemed mature enough to take on the problem. "I'll see you in a week, give or take."
