Classic American Film, Thursday, Period 4

When the students arrived to class today, they'd find the room set up as usual, except that next to the television, there was a table of moddable snacks, instead of just popcorn. It was possible someone was happy to not be a gazelle this week.

"Good afternoon," Ziva said, once everyone was settled in their seats. "I hope that you all enjoyed your break from classes, especially if you went on the school trip, and I am very glad to see you all back to your proper genders." Yeah, she was glad that was over too. Truly, there was no end to the island's awkwardness. "I know Homecoming is at the front of everyone's minds, but I am afraid today's movie does not relate very well. It does involve a party though, in a way, if you wish to stretch things a bit." Be glad she wasn't trying to sell it as a holiday film too. "Some people might not consider it to be a classic, but I believe that any film that spawns three sequels and has instantly recognizable catch phrases counts. Make sure to take some food before you get too comfortable, all right?"

Alex could totally get with this movie. It was a fast paced action people where a lot of people got the shit kicked out of them. Perfect movie for this class.

This movie was not to Sara's taste, as her disdainful expression showed; it was so . . . loud and crude and violent, and she had a hard time believing even her cousin Dan (the most boisterous of their little lot) would have enjoyed it.

Whatever. Emma was only paying token attention to the film, having seen it before.

Instead she was doodling in the margins of her notebook, contemplating what she wanted to do with her hair for the dance, and trying to guess how many people were going to show up in her room for hair and make-up assistance on Saturday.

Quinn hadn't seen this movie -- something about it being older than she was, plus her occasionally being too girly to live. But she could appreciate things blowing up, so she watched with one eye while she scribbled some Homecoming plans in her notebook.

It was true, he was positively delicious when evil. Also, things blew up. Jenny approved of this movie.
