The Club Fair - Gym - Friday Afternoon 9/24/10
To be perfectly honest, Blackagar wasn't sure how he ended up being in the gym this afternoon. Let alone being one of the first people there.
But that was just how life worked sometimes.
Plus, it gave him a chance to look over the new clubs first! Score for him.
[Please wait for the scary OCD is up!]

Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Not do homework assignments, practice general insubordination, that kind of thing.
"I don't know what I'm supposed to do with a fucking club," she added.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
He was totally helpful.
//For detention, I think you generally have to be actively trying t'get yerself in trouble,// he noted. //Try punching a classmate in th'face. That'll do it.//
Words of wisdom, George. You're welcome.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Which was a really heartbreaking sort of decision to have to make.
"Why did you sign up for something that has glee in the title?"
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
She'd thank him for it later. Once he dragged her along. Right?
Probably not.
//Which reminds me, you've been working with yer drums lately?//
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
"Y ... es?" she managed. Carefully. "I'm still not any good at them. Paradiddles are way harder than they look."
Was there going to be a quiz?
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
You know. No reason.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Was he up to something? Jono wasn't usually the Up to Something type.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
//More often, perhaps?//
Say, practise every day?
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
"Because it's so much fun watching me fuck up?"
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Flee, George. Flee while you still can.
//Unless you had better things t'do, I suppose...//
Just remember, he knows where you live.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Speaking of optimal times to flee ...
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
And then a sly look crossed over his features regardless.
//Unless you were looking for a quick way to pay off that drum kit of yers...//
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
"What did you do?" she hissed.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
But only a touch.
//Nothing big, really. Just a few people with a few instruments, playing a few songs in th'dark on th'beach. If we're lucky, the waves'll drown out any of the sound anyhow, or people'll be more interested in th'bonfire...//
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Occupational hazard?
"We ... have to play for people?"
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Yep. So very helpful, indeed.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
//Apathy, George.// Straighten out his jacket, shrug his shoulders. Completely unbothered. //You wouldn't need to do anything fancy. I'm not about to throw you at a bloody solo. And you've got over a month to learn th'parts. For that, I'd be willing to shave off... Half th'cost of th'drums. For what, so far as I can understand it, is a show I won't be gettin' paid for, either.//
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
"... Why?" she asked. "I mean, why would you do that?"
Why did he care if they had a sorry-excuse-for-a-drummer at their beach party? She couldn't be the only person on the island who they could prop up behind a drum set.

Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
Maybe he was bored.
"Just the one performance," she added. Because that was likely to hold.
Re: Talk to the Representative - Apathy Club
He didn't have a heart. He didn't even have to cross his fingers, here.
