Office Hours - Tuesday 25.10

Charlie's alternating between solving sudoku puzzles and finishing up the lesson planning for tomorrow. The door is open though, for anyone that might want to visit or is just bored.

I just left it...but I thought, how stupid since I'm just down the hall. I hope you don't mind my dropping by. [She walks in and sits down. She crosses her legs at the knee and looks at his desk] Oh! I love those! Su--um...soduku? I can't remember the name. We used to play while we were waiting for Congress to vote.

"So did they turn up? My students?" Charlie asks, before smiling to her. "Sudoku, and yeah, I think they're awesome too. More logic puzzles than math puzzles, but fun."

No. Actually they didn't. Kimberly hasn't been to my classes either. I'm repeating myself, you'll hear it on your voice mail...but you were warned students disappear with alarming frequency here, right?

Yes. I've lost...I don't know how many. Seven since the beginning of term? Sometimes they go home to their parents, but usually they just disappear. Sucked into locker 327...or worse. This is an unusual school, Charlie. If you can roll with the punches, you'll be fine. Boy, could I tell you some stories...[she smiles, laughs lightly, and sips her coffee]
