Classic American Film, Thursday, Period 4

"Good afternoon," Ziva said, greeting everyone once they'd settled down. "Last week, we watched a movie that many would consider a 'chick flick.'" So, for this week, I picked something that I believe is a little more male-oriented. The Grandfather is considered by many people to be one of the best films ever made. While that is debatable, I suppose, it is one of very few movies to have a sequel that was as successful as the original, which I believe says something about the quality of the story in general. Still, it will be up to you to decide if you agree with the critics or not."

Have some popcorn, just don't throw it at each other!

Bod wasn't really sure what to expect from this movie with a title like that so he got himself some popcorn and settled in to watch.

Emma loved this movie. She happily settled in with her popcorn and took out her notebook to draft a letter to Jack.

She enjoyed corresponding about movies with him, because of his unique time-tossed viewpoint, and there was something infinitely satisfactory in a letter.

Quinn had never seen this movie, but she liked it.

Though, somehow, she kept wondering how the Grandfather wuld look if he were thin, female, blonde and in a track suit.

If George saw anybody who had seen her while tripping out of her mind yesterday, then she was going to pretend she was dead. Or something.

Because what the fuck.

While Clark wished it wasn't so slow, he was super excited to see a classic film with tons of violence. His mom never let him watch this stuff.

The violence was a bit offputting, but the film was compelling.

When the movie had ended, Ziva got back up in front of the class.

"My question for you today is fairly simple: what kind of an offer would you not be able to refuse?" Ziva asked. "You do not have to share your answer, as I imagine some of them might be personal, but if you would like to share, please do."

Bod gave himself some time to think about that question. After some thought, there were a few answers he thought qualified but wasn't sure if he wanted to share.

If he got the offer to bring his family back, his real family, he didn't think he'd refuse but he knew that would mean not meeting Mr and Miss Owens or Silas. It would have consequences even if he wanted it.

"I want my life back," George said.

It seemed safe enough. Most people would assume that she'd meant her life had changed in a bad way, and not that it was over entirely.

Who Ziva is so happy to have here.

Aaaaand now I sleep. I'll catch pings in the morning!
