Library [09/12]
Today was a tired day in the library for Jono. He'd made what in retrospect he could only call a ridiculously stupid purchase yesterday, but it had been a very pretty ridiculously stupid purchase, and so he'd been up half the night with headphones plugged into his amp, trying to decide which of his guitars had a better sound to it.
The jury was still out on that one.
As a result, today was going to be a particularly lazy day. Jonothon got most of the returned books reshelved, and even managed to tame some of the clutter that had managed to accumulate on the desk. Beyond that? Jono's attitude toward the universe at large was going to be a whole world of, 'Meh.'

Re: Talk to Jono!
He made a gesture then, a slight rise and fall of his shoulders that could have been a sigh, were he able to do so.
//They're in th'script section.//
Helpful, Jonothon.
Re: Talk to Jono!
So kind he was. So tolerant.
"I hear tell that it's rude to interrupt someone while busy--perhaps I was waiting until you'd ceased reading to speak up."
He hadn't been. But he hadn't stared for all that long either.
Re: Talk to Jono!
//This way, then,// he replied, his words about as clipped as any that Rosalind had ever used on him, as he turned and made his way toward the stacks. //We'll see if th'library is in th'mood to let us find them today or not.//
Re: Talk to Jono!
He would not put it past this aide, this grumpy touchy aide, to mislead him deliberately.
Re: Talk to Jono!
//Now you listen to me, mate,// he scathed, //I'll be th'first to admit that I'm not th'most pleasant bloke on the island. You get off to a bad start with me, and it'll stay that way if I feel like I'm being patronized. But you want scripts, and you'll get scripts, and I'm not going to lead you on a wild bloody goose chase lookin' for them just because I don't like yer stupid coat.//
Easy now.
//I'm in a mood, I won't deny it. But it's th'library's mood that comes first and foremost. If I don't lead you straight to yer bloody plays, then that's because they've moved.//
Re: Talk to Jono!
"Especially," he added insultingly, "as from my question most would assume I am new to the island. Which is, in fact, true."
And thus he couldn't be expected to know that a library had moods.
Re: Talk to Jono!
He lowered his finger, kept his eyes narrowed, and then shoved his hands into his pockets.
//Keep yer questions to ones related to th'library, then, and we'll get along nicely enough.//
Which was to say, Jono wouldn't try to punch him in the gob.
//This way.//
Re: Talk to Jono!
Because that was going to help things. Really. Angeal would be so disappointed in him. But the aide had started it.
And Genesis finished things.
Re: Talk to Jono!
And, as it stood, he was doing another face-heel-turn around this one shelf, and stopping and giving the next shelf a critical eye, as though daring it to be anything but the scripts that they were looking for.
//Plays,// he announced. //Now, is there anything else you need help finding?//
Re: Talk to Jono!
That was maybe even a thanks if you squinted really hard and tilted your head a hundred and eighty degrees and ignored the way disdain dripped off of his words and--
Okay. It wasn't a thanks.
It was, however, an excuse for the aide to escape. Genesis would bother him later, should he be bored.
