Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

More tables and chairs had been set up further out on the lawn, where there weren't as many trees. That meant there wasn't as much shade either, so these tables had more fans on them to make up for the difference. Still, it was bound to be quieter over here than closer to the main area.

Psh, they don't call Kon Superboy for nothing. He's awesome everywhere. "Just thinking you look a bit familiar."

He moved a bit closer and whispered just so Roy could here, just in case his identity was a secret or something.

"One of the spandex crowd?"

"Sorry, but I don't think I know you," Roy said. Then he narrowed his eyes at Kon and said, "Who's asking?"

He frowned a looked a bit closer, no this guy was definitely familiar, but in more of that "I've seen you in passing" kind of way.

"Kon-El, also known as Superboy," He motioned toward his suit. "You just look real familiar, and it'll bother me all day if I don't figure it out."

"Never heard of you," Roy said honestly. "Sorry. If I look like someone you know, we get stuff like that here sometimes. Doppelgangers and whatever."

Kon shrugged and decided to ask Tim later to see if it was just him.

"That must be it." He offered his hand with a friendly grin. "Well since I'm here anyways, nice to meet you. Remember the name, it's practically a crime to not know who I am."

"Roy Harper," Roy said, shaking his hand. "Does Superman know you stole his schtick?"

He wasn't about to say 'Oh sure, I was cloned from his DNA to replace him after he died, except he came back' to someone he didn't know.

"Yeah, trust me, he knows," Kon said, grin still in place. "I have the S-shield of approval and everything."

Which, okay, wasn't exactly true since he did the Superboy thing without permission, but Superman gave him a name and a place in the family, and that had to count for something.
