Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

More tables and chairs had been set up further out on the lawn, where there weren't as many trees. That meant there wasn't as much shade either, so these tables had more fans on them to make up for the difference. Still, it was bound to be quieter over here than closer to the main area.

Yeah, Roy hadn't figured he'd get far with that. "Thanks," he said, kind of annoyed with himself for being pleased by Tiny Bruce's approval. "You're no fun, you know that, right?"

"It's been a complicated day. I'm giving myself some leeway in the fun department for the moment," Bruce said. Because he was a laugh riot the rest of the time.

Roy wasn't about to say it, but...well, exactly. "Right. Got to be careful of too much fun." Of course, Roy's idea of too much fun and Bruce's were basically in different galaxies.

"You do," Bruce said, simply. "Have too much and your judgment might get clouded. That doesn't apply to anything specific today, but it's good advice."

Yes, Bruce judged his own advice as good. Since he wasn't having too much fun, he was able to trust that judgment.
