It might have been the start of the fall semester, but it was definitely still summer in Fandom. The sun was shining and the temperature was already starting to get high, even as the NPC crew set things up for the day.

Luckily, the school knew how to take care of folks on days like today. Beneath the blue and gold streamers and balloons, tables had been set up with cold drinks and food, and an entire section devoted to offering up different ~~moddable~~ ice cream flavors. As always, there was a stack of nametags set down next two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and one listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

With everything set up and the crew out of the way, it was time for the picnic to begin!

Well, she had good logic, at least!

"You... suppose so?" Zack tilted his head a bit, thinking that over. "Or are you just saying that because you're on a mission to get all the guys to lose their tops?"

Ino gave him wide, wounded eyes.

"Would I be on a mission to do that?"

Yes, yes she would be.

Zack gave her one of those looks that pretty much screamed, 'suuuuure,' and then shook his head and laughed.

"Man-oh-man," he chuckled, "I might need help getting out of all of this, then."

Two belts! A girdle! Armor, armor, armor!

"Lucky for you," she chirped, "you've got a girl here who knows how your clothing works!"

And who was perfectly happy to help him strip! She was so thoughtful!

"And I can take your shirt back to the dorms with me if I leave here before you do," he added, holding his arms out to the sides and turning around so that she could get to the hard-to-reach straps along his back. "So that works out pretty well, huh?"

She felt momentarily bad about her plan to dump her shirt with him anyway as she got to work on those straps. They weren't hard from her angle, which was the point and Ino found herself smiling stupidly at his back for no reason.

Just. He was there and she was happy.

"If you don't mind," she replied, still feeling a bit bad about that. "I can always run it up myself if you'd rather not."

One strap, two strap... and, give her another second, "And done."

"Nah, it's fine! I'll be back and forth from here all day, I think. I have the new sibling this term and all."

He lifted his armor from his shoulders, and then dropped the whole mess of it onto the ground behind the table, now working on the really fun task of peeling his way out of his shirt.

... It was hard when you had hair that awesome, okay?

Ino very kindly didn't giggle at him as she leaned against the table and studied the... food on them.

Yeah. No way was she eating one.

"Who's your sibling?" Ino asked lightly. "I got off free as a bird this term."

Shirt? Removed! Welcome picnic, face the glory of Zack, topless!

Or something!

"I got Elphaba," Zack replied, pleasantly. "She seems really nice, but kind of nervous."

He was lovely while topless, but Ino was the most biased person ever here.

And the name niggled at the back of her mind but Ino shrugged. Names could be repeated anywhere, right?

"Nervous, huh? Poor thing! Bet you're going to take care of that quick. Take her out for ice cream or something?"

"Already offered," Zack laughed. "And I'm going to take her in to town to get a phone, too, since she'd never heard of them before. She'll settle in well if it kills me!"

"No dying!" she laughed, leaning over to poke him. "But that's awesome, I bet she really appreciates it."
