Library, Thursday.

It didn't matter that classes weren't in session, Anemone was at the library, doing her rounds just like she'd done for the last three years.

There wasn't any use putting it off any longer. Her room was half-packed, today was her last shift, and soon Anemone would go home to a world that feared her. Hated her. Worshiped her. Sometimes all three at once.

Humans were funny that way.

But all that was neither here nor there, because Anemone had a mission. The coffee was on, the library was going to be picture perfect, and Special Collections was going to understand that eating the library aides (or the librarian) was bad form by the end of her shift, or she was going to be extremely unhappy with certain sentient spaces.

The Fandom High Library was open, despite the term-break, and the aide was available to answer all your questions (and collect those overdue fines!).

He didn't live there; he just stayed there when he was obsessively avoiding dealing with anything resembling his personal life.

Today, however, he was out in the library, keeping an anxious eye on Anemone. he knew she was fine with Special Collections; he just didn't trust Special Collections to remember it.

Henry was so surprised to be caught that he laughed aloud. "So is that my problem?" he wondered. "I'm pretty attached to the neutral and flannel wardrobe palette."

Henry gave her the look of a fairly conservatively dressed 40-year-old man who was being instructed to dye his locks a color he would have found excessive in 1980. "... and I think I'll take my chances being mistaken for tasty grub," he decided. "No offense."

"There are plenty of cultures that eat bugs," Henry answered lightly. "I'm just not from one of them."

He went around to lean on a low table where he could watch her like a creeper. "Last day, huh? I might have picked up something for you."

"A very small present," Henry assured her. "I know you have a long way to go and not much space when you get there."

He wandered back into his office and returned with a small, soft package (http://www.nyla.org/content/user_11/Book_Scarf.gif). "I figured this'd remind you of the place."
