The Pen Is Mightier [Thursday, 1st Period]

When Rick's class arrived at the Danger Shop, they would have found him dressed in black, standing over what looked an awful lot like his own corpse.

"Curses!" Rick exclaimed, stroking his new beard (that looked a lot like it had been drawn on with an eyebrow pencil). "My name is Dick Castle, long-lost twin of the late Rick Castle. Evil twin obviously. I was planning on killing my newly found, yet deeply hated brother and assuming his identity as a best-selling crime author, but you've come in at the worst possible moment, after I've committed the crime but before I could cover it up."

'Dick' paused for dramatic effect. "Clearly the only thing to do is help me hide the corpse, then you'll all pass and I'll get my new identity on. You'll all need to come up with ways to dispose of the body, and then we'll test out the feasibility of them."

Someone had a very odd idea of what constituted a final.

"I would never do such a thing," Raven said, "but if I had to hide something, I could always take it into the netherverse."

You know. With the giant lizard.

Considering that Alexander's experience in this sort of thing had been anything but successful, he was actually looking pretty stumped.

"Fire?" he eventually offered. "And scatter the ashes to the four winds."

"Is Craft an option?" Karla asked. "Umm, magic?"

Since in Chloe's experience bodies always seemed to turn up -- usually because of her finding them -- she was stumped on how to dispose of a body.

"Cremation," she finally ventured. "It's harder to trace ashes, especially if you scatter them in many different places."

"That was my thought, too," Alexander offered, giving the like-minded girl a faint grin. "Ashes can scatter pretty easily, and they're a pain to clean up."

Yes, he knew that from way too much personal experience.

"Take it out to the woods far from home, dismember it, and bury the pieces," Christian offered nonchalantly. "And never look back."

He was recounting the plot of a movie (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shallow_Grave) he'd seen part of on TV recently. He'd missed how badly the plan fell apart.

"Maybe you could disguise the body so you could hide it in plain sight?" suggested Harper.
