"Hey guys, we have a lot to cover and not a lot of time."

Elizabeth nods in agreement, trying not to yawn. Instead, she picks up her coffee.

Dean Bristow sits at the desk. He watches the meeting intently, but says little, if anything.

Alanna came in looking a bit uncomftorable and tries to blend in with the scenery.

((Depends. If the Council's voted you into the capacity of co-chair, then yes. If not, then yes anyway, since they should handle that vote this week.))

Rory clears her throat. "So, um. Parents' Weekend. I've got a fairly comprehensive list of everyone coming...do you guys have any activities you want to plan? And Alanna - we need to vote you in still, right? Once that's taken care of, you'll need to talk to us about security stuff, I guess."

Elizabeth smiles across at her, before yawning again.

"Do we know how mant people are coming, Rory?"

"Um...somewhere between fifty and sixty people, at last check."

"And Marty and I are going to need the list of weapons that people may have."

Rory nods. "I think we have a few people bringing firearms, some bringing swords, and then a lot of people bringing things I haven't heard of." She thinks for a second. "Oh, and apparently several people thought it'd be cute to put that their friends' and relatives' personalities counted as weapons, but I'm guessing you don't need a tally on those."

Alanna nodded. "Everyone's personality can be a weapon, so no."

Phoebe is making notes as she listens to Rory and Alanna discuss the arrangments.

"Do we have sufficient lodgings in town for the families?"

"Hasn't a new hotel just opened up?" Elizabeth asks, taking a mouthful of coffee.

Phoebe nods. "That's right. Thanks, Liz, I had forgotten about that."

"Not a problem," she yawns. "Oh, god, excuse me."

Phoebe looks at her friend in concern. She makes a note to talk to Liz after the meeting.

"All right," Rory continues. "Anyone have any ideas as to organizing some activities over Parents' Weekend?"

Phoebe smiles. "It's been suggested that we have a dance to get the parents meeting and socializing with each other."

"Are we feeding them at any point?" Elizabeth asks.

Phoebe chews on her pen for a moment. "Do we really want to subject so many parents to the joy of the cooking staff here? I love Chef but um..."

Elizabeth snickers. "The vindictive part of me says if we're expected to eat it, so should the sadists people who sent us here," she says.

Phoebe laughs out loud. "While your logic does have merit and I agree with you on it, look at the range of people coming here this weekend. I can see so many problems that could arise from them eating there."
