Phoebe enters the room and starts setting up her notes.

"Hey guys, we have a lot to cover and not a lot of time."

Phoebe is making notes as she listens to Rory and Alanna discuss the arrangments.

"Do we have sufficient lodgings in town for the families?"

"Hasn't a new hotel just opened up?" Elizabeth asks, taking a mouthful of coffee.

Phoebe nods. "That's right. Thanks, Liz, I had forgotten about that."

"Not a problem," she yawns. "Oh, god, excuse me."

Phoebe looks at her friend in concern. She makes a note to talk to Liz after the meeting.

"All right," Rory continues. "Anyone have any ideas as to organizing some activities over Parents' Weekend?"

Phoebe smiles. "It's been suggested that we have a dance to get the parents meeting and socializing with each other."

"Are we feeding them at any point?" Elizabeth asks.

Phoebe chews on her pen for a moment. "Do we really want to subject so many parents to the joy of the cooking staff here? I love Chef but um..."

Elizabeth snickers. "The vindictive part of me says if we're expected to eat it, so should the sadists people who sent us here," she says.

Phoebe laughs out loud. "While your logic does have merit and I agree with you on it, look at the range of people coming here this weekend. I can see so many problems that could arise from them eating there."

"Yeah, you're probably right. I don't know... I'm just going on vague memories of what my parents did when they visited my brothers at their schools."

Phoebe nods. "We could see if Deb wants to help cater?"

"Yeah, or Luke perhaps," Elizabeth adds, looking across to Rory.

"Luke can, I think," Rory says. "But I...y'know what, I'll talk to him." No need to involve personal problems in this.

"I don't know if he and Deb know each other... but they could work together. One does main course, other desert?" Elizabeth suggests, rubbing her eyes.

"That'd work. I'll bring it up to him."

"Cool," Elizabeth smiles tiredly at Rory.

"You okay, Liz?" Rory asks, creasing her brows.

"Just tired," Elizabeth says, trying to wave it off. "Not been sleeping well the last few nights, that's all."

Faith raised her hand. "I know that the JA, at least, was planning on holding a bake sale, pending permission- with hand baked goods, to avoid another yearbook fiasco- no offence, Rory."

"Would it maybe be possible to ask some of the student organizations if they were willing to maybe sponsor some sort of event?"

Phoebe nods and writes that down. "That's a good idea, Faith."

Rory nods and makes a note. "That works. And you get my approval on your bake sale, by the way. Oh, and none taken, Faith."

"Thanks, Rory." Faith marks down a note on her notepad, which may look something like Not fucked. Telll Peaches that bakesale's a go. Also, learn to bake.

Phoebe looks at Faith.

"Faith? If you guys need help with the bake sale, you should talk to my sister, Piper. She's a great cook and since our Grams is coming, it'll give her something to do to cover her nerves."
