Library [08.01]
The library was open, and Jonothon was... busy.
There were books to... sort. And things to... do.
Busy. Yes.
[Ooooooooooopen.]

Re: Talk to Jono
//Is it a one-piece or a two-piece?//
A stubborn sort of fight in which he didn't actually admit that he was perhaps vaguely amused, but...

Re: Talk to Jono
Rotten-but-not-here would have made this into an interesting conversation.
Re: Talk to Jono
Re: Talk to Jono
Jono wasn't going to spoil this moment by pointing out that he had a deep, abiding loathing for clothes-shopping, too.
Re: Talk to Jono
A beat.
"Or we go to town and see a movie. Or you sit in with the band at Caritas. or something. I just ... feel like having a Jono appreciation night."
Re: Talk to Jono
Like... the people selling tickets. Those were people.
//Sea glass sounds just fine to me, luv.//
Also, there was popcorn involved with one of those alternate options, and alcohol with the other. And, while he understood that other people could and did enjoy both, it was still a bit of an old sore spot rubbed raw all over again.

Re: Talk to Jono
//Yer still here, Didi,// he said, as though that explained full well that he understood that she cared. //That means... quite a bit.//
His last girlfriend had sort of tried to kill him over something vaguely similar, after all. In comparison, babbling about swimsuits didn't seem all that bad.
Re: Talk to Jono
But it didn't feel like enough,. But she wanted to comfort him, more than anyone else could. But she was still mad she didn't have the power to fix him. But but but.
She was here.
"Just ... it's okay for you to tell me anything."
Re: Talk to Jono
There was a long pause after that, while Jono turned his gaze downward and attempted to pick through a swarm of thoughts. Anything.
//You almost got yerself killed the other day, you know.//
That one had been weighing on him a fair bit, yes.
Re: Talk to Jono
But physically didn't count? Healthy attitude, Didi, and from the way she trailed off she might have realized that.
Re: Talk to Jono
Jono's wince there had been faint, but it had most certainly been there. Accidentally killing his girlfriend only physically would still have been... well. Just that.
Re: Talk to Jono
And she was starting to realize how much of a thank you she owed Raven.
Re: Talk to Jono
She was Death. But, as far as he'd know, he'd just be Didi's killer. That made everything so much easier, truly.
//So. As I was saying. You nearly got yerself killed the other day.//
Re: Talk to Jono
Didi was Death. Didi could, would die. Those two things were making an uncomfortable burny spot in Didi's chest. "You were hurting."
Re: Talk to Jono
There went his eyes, falling to the floor again.
Re: Talk to Jono
"Going to take a wild guess that turning somebody into shrapnel is on that list," she said. "Sorry."
Re: Talk to Jono
By which he meant, he loved her, and he'd miss her, and the guilt alone would probably kill him.
