Hawkeye met the students outside the Danger Shop for today's class. "As you can probably tell from the first workshop, I'm not opposed to a shock factor to get you to pay attention. But I'm not here to make you sick, and during today's class you might be. There's going to be wounds and blood in here that looks, feels and smells about as real as you can get. I'm not pulling any punches because you asked me not to. It's nothing to be ashamed of. A hardened surgeon, a good friend of mine who'd dealt with plenty of blood and organs in his time, saw what violent trauma - especially shrapnel trauma - can do to the human body on his first day in Korea back when it was a war zone. He threw up his breakfast. Chances are you'll do the same and it only makes you human. Or whatever you are if you're not human.

This is what we're going to do. We'll rotate as a group through three activities. I'm going to show you how to treat a puncture wound from a knife, one from a bullet and then we'll go over some basic techniques for immediate on the scene treatment and what you'll need to do if there's no doctor coming any time soon. There are buckets off to the side of the operating room if you need to be sick. As soon as you get in there, make sure you put gloves on. The Danger Shop is a safe environment but blood can carry a lot of diseases and it's a good practice to get into. If you don't want to come inside, that's your choice. I won't hold it against you."

"Sometimes it's a little lump of metal, seemingly harmless. Other times you'll find pieces that are serrated around the edge and designed by some sick and twisted person, for some definition of the word 'person', to inflict as much damage to the tissue as possible." He held up a small metal bowl for the bullet to go in.

Momoko dumped the bullet into the bowl. "Now I feel bad about learning to use them. Guns, I mean." She sighed and poked at the bullet. "Is this real or part of the Danger Shop program? Can I keep it?"

"It's all holographic, so it'll disappear the second you walk out those doors," he gave an apologetic shrug. "Guns are guns though. It's when it's used on a living thing that they become my problem." He set the bowl down and wiped down the wound again before preparing the skin and sticking the suture in where he was going to have Momoko start. "Your turn."

Momoko sighed. She'd wanted it as a reminder, but, well, hopefully she'd need only this memory.

"Uhm. I just... sew? Is there a specific stitch I'm supposed to use?"

Hawkeye pointed out where the stitching needed to go, how to grasp the skin and all of the interesting parts on how to stitch together a wound. "Try not to prick your finger. Gloves are thin and you don't know what this guy has in his blood."

Stabbing herself wasn't the problem with Momoko's sewing. It was more making sure she didn't stitch whatever she was working on to herself. Which really wasn't an option here, so while her stitches were clumsy, he was closed.

"Uhm... do I knot it?"
