Library, Tuesday!

Rinoa was in a good mood today as she puttered around the library. Libraries generally put her in a good mood, to be honest.

Of course, just after her Mathematics class, she was in slightly less of a good mood, but the books cheered her back up in no time.

Stupid Mathematics class.

The thing was, Anders had had a grand plan for this week's class, namely expanding beyond Earth sports without doing Pyramid just yet. He'd dug up some mention of something called Parrises Squares, but the weird thing was . . . any kind of information about it at all was impossible to come by, and he'd been researching since the beginning of the term. All he knew was that there was some kind of a ramp involved, and sometimes people got seriously hurt.

That was not remotely conducive to being able to demonstrate it for the class, and he was determined to do it, so obviously?

Drastic Measures were necessary. In the name of athletics, was there ever any question?

So late in the afternoon one Samuel T. Anders strode into the library with a purposeful look on his face, tugging the hem of his C-Bucs jersey straight in the Picard Maneuver as he headed toward the doors to Special Collections.

He hadn't been in there since the zombie invasion way back in his sophomore year, but come on, how bad could it be? That was the question he asked himself as the doors shut behind him.

"I mean, really," Anders remarked to no one in particular as he wandered deeper into Special Collections. "It's not like I could end up stuck in the shelves again or anything."

It was the space of a very, very efficiently pitched inning of shutout baseball before he regretted asking the question, and wishing his phone hadn't fallen out of his pocket to the ground when whatever the hell it was that came whooshing at him made impact.

"Well, frak me."

[OOC: SC mishap inflicted on the Cylon with permission. Mwahaha.]

Nerd alert! Despite the fact that he had many classes today, Alexander was still going to spend some time continuing his search in the library.

He half expected to see someone working who looked like Blackagar and Dan. But, seeing as she didn't, he gave the girl a nod and a smile of greeting as he said, "Hello" in a quiet library voice.

"Perhaps," Alexander answered, smiling a little more to have the girl smile at him. It put him at ease to have people be more friendly, after all. "Not so much to find my way around the library; I've become rather acquainted with it in this last week or so, but perhaps you could help me narrow down my search a little. I keep asking anyone in case they might know, but no one has so far. Have you ever heard of a place called the Land of the Green Isles?"

The question was enough to stave off the disappointment that she hadn't. After all, at this point, he was mostly expecting it anyway. So he grinned a little and admitted, "No. But have you ever heard of Llewdor, Daventry, Kolyma, or Tamir?"

Alexander couldn't help grinning. "Serenia?" he threw out. "Etheria? Eldrich?"

"I think," said Alexander, smiling apologetically, "that we've run the gammut of different lands I know. I haven't been as well-travelled as I should like. But, I have to admit, it is encouraging. It seems to show that there are easily so many worlds out there that, one day, I may find my search to be not so futile after all."

To that, Alexander couldn't help chuckling a little, his grin wide with amusement, and he had to admit to himself that she was quite pretty, which, in turn, brought a bit of a flush to his own face. The broad grin settled into a more pleased, contented sort of expression and he nodded.

"Then we're even," he said. "My name is Alexander, by the way. I've just realized we've gotten to know more about where we're from than about ourselves so far in this conversation."

Henry was back in the stacks, reshelving things and occasionally wandering through the main office to see if Rinoa needed help.
