Gym 102, Tuesday

After one decidedly weird ass dream while resting his eyes in his office featuring Ted Kord, Guy was just a bit out of it for class. A bit. He wasn't Booster, after all.

"Today we're gonna be doin' archery," Guy informed the class distractedly. "Rules are simple: aim only at the target. You point the bow and arrow anywhere else and your ass will be in detention for the rest of the summer. Got it?"

And if there was no organized detention, he'd run his own. Probably involving running laps a lot.

Quinn found a bow and arrow and took a place at the end of the range. She'd done archery in gym class before; it always seemed easy enough. Her arrows mostly hit the target, even if they didn't all (or even most) hit the bull's eye.

She kept an eye out for anyone who might want to work with her.

The bow was more familiar to her than guns were, even if she'd more experience with a crossbow. "Hello, do you want to partner up?"

Quinn glanced over, appraising the girl.

A little unkempt, but she'd do. Besides, Quinn's arm was getting tired.

"Sure," she said, stepping aside. "Your turn. Do you know a lot about archery?"

Unkempt? She'd not not been to the Lower City then.

"Not a lot," she said with a shake of her head. She lined up her shot, taking aim of the target. "I've had a little bit of training with it, but not much. Tisn't a guard's preferred weapon. Do you?"

But the arrow hit the target, even if 't wasn't in the centre.

Wasn't really where Quinn hung out.

"Only in gym class," she admitted, lining up her arrow. She was determined to shoot at least as well as the other blonde. "It's not like I grew up in the middle ages."

"It'd be a possibility here," Beka replied, standing back to watch Quinn shoot. "By your world's standards, you'd say that I have."

Quinn's arrow hit the target, but a ring further from the center than Beka's had. "Rats!," she cursed softly, before moving out of the way for Beka's turn.

"No indoor plumbing, no TV?" she asked. "It sounds boring."

She'd no problem keeping busy in Corus, here it was a different matter. "I'd hope you do more than watch television," Beka replied with a shrug of her shoulders and she moved back, carefully taking aim.

"Of course," Quinn said. "I cheerlead, I'm on honor roll, I ran celibacy club, I have friends. I have a boyfriend."

At home, anyhow. In Fandom she was nobody.
