Griff was being good. He was taking it easy.

Okay, so he felt like he was losing his mind to boredom, but that just meant he couldn't focus on the books he'd (very carefully) stretched to reach off the shelves. No jumping and snagging for him, thanks. So he sat on top of the circulation desk, surrounded by things he didn't feel like reading after all.

He'd put the books away later.

He was really trying to make her fall over with all this zipping around he was doing, and the quick head turns needed to keep up with that.

"Can't see why you don't have girls all over you with that one to show off."

"Probably has something to do with ralphing on their shoes, but I'm open to other reasons," Griff said, far too tired of the rest of his life to even begin to care about girls and their issues.

Effy wrinkled her nose, but resisted the temptation to tease him and take a step back. "You'll find chucking up on anyone gives you a bad rep." If she'd ever done anything like that, she was not admitting it.

"Other that, just getting out more might help." So helpful.

"Did Karev put you up to this?" Griff asked, eyeing her carefully. "He's some obsession with getting me laid."

Effy rolled her eyes, slouching back against the desk near him. "Has an obsession with getting laid in general. You, him, anyone else he knows." Or so she imagined. Fairly sure that wasn't unique to Griff.

"And no."

"Good, I'd have to send you packing in that case," Griff answered. "So your interest is more the general - really? There are people in this world not screwing? - variety?"

"Something like that." A virgin was a rare thing around here, after all. "Rare breed."

"Anyway. Don't think you can actually send me packing from the school library..." Being a student, she was supposedly encouraged to be here.

"I could, what with the whole teleportation thing," Griff explained. "Despite some spectacular douches in class, I'm pretty sure I still can grab and drop anyone, anywhere, anytime. Not that I make it a habit. Just when people deserve it." Usually for killing others.

Griff might have snapped a bit since this last incident.

"Hm." Well, that was one good reason not to piss Griff off too much. "So, I'd deserve to get dumped where, for following Alex's say so?" Not that she'd do that, but... hypothetically.

"Hmm...I'd say the beach, but it's nice weather and you might like that," Griff replied thoughtfully. "How 'bout a daycare center? That sounds brutally painful."

"Know I'd just walk out, right?" she pointed out. Having to deal with one kid for that weekend had been hard enough. "Doubt my influence on the under fives would be appreciated."

"You'd be awesome. You deal with Karev all the time," Griff pointed out with a wee smirk. So pleased with himself as he was.

Effy curled a smirk in return. "So do you," she pointed out. "And if I kept a hold, you'd be stuck there too, right? Sharing my pain."

"You catch on quick," Griff decided. "But don't forget, I know karate." So threatening.

"Wouldn't use it on me." So she assumed. Because, you know, a somewhat helpless girl, even if she did probe endlessly about his lack of sex life.

Plus, if he did try, she suspected if Alex found out he would be pissed... Which still didn't make it a relationship.
