Philosophy classroom, Friday afternoon

After today's somewhat explosive Ethics class, Tara grabs lunch and returns to the classroom, anticipating fallout from various students... and questions from others.

Kawalsky thought about it for a few moments. "Maybe make it clear that the topic is open for discussion, but that everyone's at least expected to sit and listen to the whole thing before they make their judgment?"

Tara nods. "Good idea. I think it might be best to let them read the descriptions of their roles before they learn who their partner is, too. As soon as the assignment is announced. And we were so rushed for time today, I might cancel the discussion section, and just leave that time open for people to raise any issues with the assignment itself."

Charlie nodded. "The assignment part will give enough discussion and I think maybe it'll give even more after the assignment is over." He went quiet for a moment. "My Lady, are these kinds of assignments going to be a regular part of the class, or only every once in a while?"

"Only once in a while, Rabbit. When discussion wouldn't address the point sufficiently. And even then, most things will only take place in class."

"Okay, My Lady." He was glad for that. He didn't really want to deal with the fallout of people not liking assignments on a regular basis. He could handle it, but he didn't really want to. "So Monday is the same thing as Friday, right?"

"That's right. And then next week is just processing the assignment, nothing new to deal with. The week after will be debate and discussion, as normal. There won't be another assignment for about a month, I expect." And I really hope people take it better than this one.
