Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part I

The recent cold front had been a welcome weather pattern as far as Zoe was concerned, and she was very grateful for how things had turned out today - it was sunny and breezy, and just cool enough that no one would pass out from heat exhaustion. Hopefully.

Beneath the blue and gold streamers and balloons, tables had been set up with drinks and food, including an entire table of moddable different ice cream flavors. As always, there was a stack of nametags set down next two signs: one listing the Big Sibling/Little Sibling pairings, and one listing rooms and roommates for the new students.

[OCD is up! Have at it! This is part one of the picnic, specifically for meeting siblings, roommates, and teachers. The rest of the picnic is happening here and here, in an effort to keep browsers from breaking for as long as possible. Since it's outside, the picnic is open to all students, teachers, and townies!]

"Ah. Well," Iroh said patting the small paunch of belly that had regrown in the last year. "It has been a long time since I was deemed small. You'll have to forgive my ignorance as this would be my first visit to this island and... castle?"

"School," Deadpool replied. "It's a special school where you'll probably hafta teach sex ed or something'."

"Hmm. I would think children would prefer to learn such things from a younger man," Iroh replied with a shake of his head. "Allow me to introduce myself. I am Iroh."

Iroh's eyes opened a bit wider in surprise. "Guidance Counselor?" he asked. "I was not aware such a position was appointed to me."

"Well you have been now," Deadpool informed him. "And I'm your teachin' buddy."

A beat.

"...which means I should tell you that the kids are insane aaaand gremlins bite you."

Okay, well the fact that kids were insane was nothing new to Iroh. You spend enough time with Zuko and Azula and that fact became readily apparent.

The gremlins? Well, he'd figure that out eventually.

"I see," Iroh said as he stroked his beard thoughtfully. "Well, I've always said that destiny is a funny thing. Apparently it had a few tricks up its sleeves today."

"It could be worse," Deadpool replied. "You could be in a shitty movie directed by a one hit wonder of a director who spent way too much money on the special effects, all while white-washing the cast!"

"I'm not sure exactly what your talking about," Iroh said looking extremely confused. "But that does sound rather horrible. I assume this was some kind of play?"

Zuko had told him of the one he saw on Ember island. The horror. The horror.

But seriously, if Iroh ever met M. Night somebody's pants was getting burned off.

Iroh shuddered at the thought of something worse. "It is sad when artistic integrity is forsaken," he said woefully. "At least it is only one movie?"
