Madison was not pleased when she pushed open the door to the lounge with the Fandom High sign on the door. Like it wasn't bad enough that she had to deal with being dead, now Ron decided to send her to some lame summer camp so Kairos and Nakita couldn't find her.

She slumped in one of the chairs near the door. There was a black suitcase decorated with stickers sitting next to her and a dirty yellow and black backpack at her feet. Her eyes were glued to the door in search of any danger that might be incoming - in the form of dark reapers or new classmates.

Price himself had been, well, let's just say you didn't survive a road trip with Aquaman by being annoyed at his boisterous charms. He had stepped out, ready to help the students with stowing the luggage. He was dressed not in uniform, but plain clothes. The fact you could easily add a kevlar vest and night vision goggles and he'd be ready for covert ops was just a coincidence. Really.

"As he said, I'm Captain Price. And questions, feel free to speak up now. I promise to answer them in an orderly fashion, assuming you give them in one," he said. He smiled. "Now then, who wants to load up first, eh?"

"Is the guy in the tights really qualified to drive a bus?" Madison asked quietly.

Because one fatal car crash was more than enough for her.

"Do you want to see the license?" Price assumed, not having actually asked the man himself. And yes, he'd heard the question.

"Nah, I'll take your word for it," Madison said. This guy at least looked normal.

"Right then," Price said. "Ready to load up, or are you still unsure about whether you've gone to the right place?"

"I know I'm in the right place," Madison said. "Unfortunately."

She stood up and slung her backpack over one shoulder though.

"Now that's not the spirit," Price said. "Come on now. You're a fan of adventure, aren't you?"

"Oh, absolutely," Madison deadpanned. "Adventure is my middle name."

"Well, don't say I didn't warn you," Price said. "Prepare for a few shocks of a lifetime."

Madison was fairly certain that nothing could be more shocking than the whole dying thing.

She had no idea how wrong she was.
