Arts & Crafts, Period 2, 6-25

The class had been asked to meet outside today and to wear clothes they wouldn't mind destroying. When they arrived, they would find a giant tarp and a lot of paint. Paint in pans, paint in balloons, paint in water guns. Paint, paint paint.

"Good morning, everyone. You've been a fun class and I've enjoy having you," Steve said. "So, without further ado, I'm going to let you cut loose." By which he of course meant: "PAINT FIGHT!"

And now we battle. With paint.

This thread was totally always here.

And I would like to thank LJ for finally allowing me to post this. Good grief. I've had more trouble trying to get this class up than I have with LJ in a long-ass time.

Didi

Didi climbed up a tree with an armful of balloons, ready to take a shot at anyone who passed by underneath.

Jonas

Even with his memories steadily increasing, there were still things that were going to completely catch Jonas off guard. A paint fight was one of them. And while he might have been surprised, that didn't mean he wasn't going to check out what was going on around him and imitate others by picking up some balloons to have something to be offensive with.

Delirium

Del was already covered in paint.

Yep, she had done that to herself. She was hard to beat!

"Mr, Rogers, um."

A very colorful (it was hard to find a way for Del to be any more colorful, and yet a lot of pain seemed to help) Endless was standing next to the man, a big smile on her face.

"Thanks for all the fun."

Never mind the fact she tried to throw a paint balloon at him after that.

"Shooooooooooooooot me~"

She was literally asking for it, as Del aimed one at her sister.

"Thank you, Del--" and then Steve had to dodge a paint balloon, "--irium."

"No fair," Didi said, laughing as a jet of paint splashed against her top.

She aimed a retaliatory balloon at Del's forehead.

Princess Ariel

Um, hello, one of the coolest last classes ever. Armed to the teeth with various forms of paint ammo, Ariel got ready to do some major color damage.

But will likely end up pretty spotted herself.

Del barely had the time to close her eyes, as the upper half of her face turned into a mess of paint. Removing some of it, she couldn't help but laugh as well, as she went running around the tree to throw some balloons behind her sister. Less chance of retaliation.

Aw, no fair! Although Del had no idea of who Mr. Rogers was, so she couldn't see that one coming.

"You are, um, super fast!"

Bobby Drake

Bobby armed himself with a paint-filled watergun and as many balloons as he could carry before roaming around looking for targets.

Not like Ariel would let the fact that her roommate had already done some damage stop her from trying to cause more.

One big fat paint balloon, on course for roommate's back, nine o'clock!

Didi managed to poke the first balloon out of the way, but two of the others splattered on her hands.

It was totally understandable that she clambered out of the tree and tried to find Del, with the intention of tickling her. That was just sharing the paint.

Del was more noticeable than half the landmarks on Fandom together at the moment, her hair flaring like crazy, showing off her state of utter happiness. Paint fight with her sister in the weirdest island around? Best. Day. Ever.

Holding a balloon on each hand she went to greet her sister with a big, splashy hug.

The cold pain made Delirium wriggle a bit, but she turned towards Ariel and retaliated, trying to get closer to put some pain on her roommate's head; some blue to offer high contrast with her pretty red hair.

"Paint Fiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight~"

Ariel shrieked. Or, rather, Ariel would have shrieked, if she had the vocal capability to do so, but she didn't, so the silent shout and the following silent giggle were buried when she tried to duck, hands going up as if to shield all that pretty red hair.

Which wasn't too terribly effective and mostly wound up with blue-splattered hair and blue hands, but now she could just try to wipe some of that blue paint off her hands, right back on Delirium.

Del made her best to imagine the shriek, and the giggles. She would need to ask Ariel why she couldn't talk later -what a wonderful roommate she was, not wondering about that before-, but for now was a bit busy getting her cheeks blue. Now she only needed to have some green and her eyes would look less mismatched.

Holding up a particularly big balloon filled with yellow paint, Delirium proceeded to make it explode on top of the two of them. All for sharing with the friends!

Just think of how lovely their room was going to look once they got out of class, now, too! Ariel was almost giggling too much to reciprocate immediately, having moved just enough so that one one of her arms wound up getting splashed with yellow. She shook her head, flicked her arm at Delirium to shake off some of it back on her, before making a dash for the nearest paintbrush, sitting in white. She didn't quite smear it on Delirium; she was fond of the flicking method, sending a little shower of white paint raindrops toward her roomie.

Whatever attempt Delirium could have done to maintain her half of the room in one moderately tidy way was going to end today. But whatever, they could clean up later. Or never, or on Sunday. At the moment Del was more focused on covering her face from a sudden attack of white paint droplets, which left her side full of spots.

"Alright alright, draw!" She had to accept it, Ariel was a worthy opponent. "We should ambush someone else~!"

Ariel looked thoroughly disappointed when Delirium called a draw much earlier than she would have expected she would have.

That lasted about two seconds, because Delirium went on with that other suggestion, and Ariel was right back up again. Yes! Absolutely! Her grin slowly grew, passing through maniacal on the way to excited, and she looked around.

Who should be their victim? Ariel tapped her chin, leaving little yellow fingerprints.

Well, obviously a boy...

Well, obviously a boy...Del had already shared paint thoroughly with her sister anyway, and Mr. Rogers was like some sort of super teacher that avoided balloons easily. That left Jonas, who looked absolutely lost, and Bobby who was...pretty much ready to go into war.

Del pointed at each as she looked at Ariel. "I say we go for the, um, confused one." She loved confused people anyway. "The other one is, armed."

Kurt Wagner

Ariel followed Delirium's pointing, narrowing her eyes as she went into thoughtful consideration and strategery. Slowly, she started to nod, grin of agreement creeping onto her face. Yes, take out the easy one, clear the field a little bit.

Kurt immediately grabbed as many water balloons as he could carry and started throwing them at people.

That noise coming from right behind Bobby? Meant that he had only a fraction of a second to duck before being hit by paint balloons at point-blank range by someone who wasn't there a moment ago.

Who said Kurt had to play fair?

Nodding, Del lead the way...

A lone balloon filled with red paint flew silently towards Jonas' head. Would he be able to dodge?

And, from the other direction, a burst of green from a squirt gun. Oh, pity the lone boy who dared to look even slightly vulnerable when these two merciless fiends were in the room!

Jonas hadn't expected anything, to be quite honest. When the first balloon exploded on his head, he dropped the balloon he'd been holding on his feet which colored them a nice yellow.

He didn't even have time to get his bearings before the green paint hit him and he stumbled backwards, trying to figure out exactly what had just happened.
