It was the official last day of class. Loki would have been sad if he hadn't known he was going to end up teaching again. Power was fucking intoxicating.

"Last day of class," he said, smiling at all the students. "I bet you couldn't wait. You all made it through without annoying the fuck out of me or dying. Congratulations. I don't have any sort of final prepared because fuck that noise. I hope you've learned something in this class. If you take anything away, I hope it's that rules are made to be fucking broken sometimes and just because there's guidelines written down doesn't mean they need to be followed. Be your own fucking person."

With that, he sat at the desk and put his feet up. "I'm sticking around the for the class but if you wanna leave, you can fucking go. If you don't, well, don't."

Maybe this was a sort of final. To see who would actively go against him and his word and who wouldn't. He wasn't grading it but he could see if he could predict who would stay and who would go.

"So, make your choice and get to it."

It was a very short lecture, and in the brief time it lasted Hiccup's mind flipped back to wondering if Loki was, well, Loki. Not that he wanted it to, you understand, but sometimes a boy isn't in total control of his brain.

Yeaaah, Effy wasn't sticking around for a whole class of staring at the walls. Few seconds to watch Loki stretch out and decide he clearly had no intention of doing anything more, and she gathered her stuff up and left.

Okay, stay or go. Stay or go. Hiccup looked up at the ceiling, then down at the floor, tapping his metal foot as he considered his options.

If they were allowed to leave, leaving wasn't breaking the rules; if they were allowed to stay, staying wasn't breaking the rules. Basically, he could do whatever he wanted. And in that case...

Smiling just a little bit, he decided to stay.

Didi sat, folded her arms to rest her chin on them, and waited. She glanced out the window when there was motion on the lawn, but mostly she just sat, her expression a mild challenge.

It was her choice. And she was good at waiting.

Oh, well then. If Loki was going to do that, so was Gabrielle; she pulled out a quill and a sheet of parchment and proceeded to scribble away for the duration of the class period.

What? She had a desk, and a free chunk of time. How did you think she was going to use it?

Well, Zack wasn't in any hurry to go anywhere, with Ino off the island on a mission and nothing else planned for the day. And so... Heck, he'd stick around. And to pass the time, he'd stake out a corner of the room where he'd have some space, and he'd do some squats!

This was his idea of a good time, yes.

Beka frowned. Twas a tempting offer as it meant she'd be able to get to work earlier. Still, there was the principal of the matter and they were not expecting her early, so she stayed.

Sookie hadn't really wanted to stay, but she did need to talk to Loki. So, she stuck out the whole class period, and waited until the others left before tentatively wandering up. "I wanted to say I'm sorry for missing last week," she said carefully.

Sookie clenched her jaw a little, because maybe no one had died here, but he hadn't meant that so she was just going to move past. "I'd offer to make it up but it's not like we have cars here," she replied instead.
