"Good afternoon, my avid academics!" Aquaman greeted the class with the usual brightness and proud smiles, though it seemed twinged with a bit of bittersweet remorse. "Can you believe that it is already our very last day of this class? I know I can't! You've all worked so hard and well, even against the adversity of certain tasks that may have presented themselves to be a difficult challenge! But what is life without challenges? What is success without a high mountain to climb or a tall hurdle to leap? I hope you are all as proud of yourselves as I am of you! I shall miss having you aboard for the subsequent semester, unless you decide to take the course again."

There was a slight pause that may have indicated that, if you did, even Aquaman, subconsciously, thought you would be a little crazyflakes if you did. It was gone before it ever really landed, however.

"So, for our very last day, I would like you to bring your fish back to me and tell the class a little about any adventures you and your gilled friend may have had, and then we'll spend the rest of the hour revisiting our favorite projects! Everything we've worked on, you can work on again. I've got things for cooking, sewing, cleaning, basket weaving, anything you'd like, to really show off what brought you joy and happiness in this particular subject!"

"I shall miss you all! But I can tell there's a bright future in home maintenience ahead of all of you!"

...Sure there was, Aquaman. Sure there was.

"Audrey was a perfect lady," Emmett said, bowl set down on the desk but fingers not really unprying from it, "all week." Unlike some people. Friday never happened Friday never happened Friday never happened... "Possibly because I exposed her to the entire collected works of the divine Miss Hepburn."

He gave the teacher his best puppy eyes, which were pretty damn puppyish if he said so himself. "Do we really have to give them back?"

"Miss Hepburn!" said Aquaman, quite clearly impressed and pleased with this news. "By Neptune's beard, she's one of my absolute favorites!"

He glanced toward Audrey as he considered Emmett's question with an amused smile on his face.

"And I suppose if you really wanted to keep her, that'd be fine by me....If you're sure you can take good care of her!"

"I would never let anything bad happen to a scale on her head," Emmett responded, holding up one too many fingers. "Defrocked Scout's Honor."

The defrocked bit made Aquaman's formitable eyebrow go up a little, but he wasn't about to ask questions. So he just nodded and said, "Then go forth and enjoy the new pet!"
