Physical Education, 4th Period - 5/31
When class arrived, there were dozens of red rubber balls awaiting them in the gym. This could only signal one sort of event for the day.
"Glad you all could make it," Guy said with a lazy drawl. "Since today's Memorial Day and I'm sure you're all itchin' to get out of here, it's gonna be an easy day. just a simple game of dodgeball."
Simple-ish game.
"Last person left standing, gets a free pass for the rest of the semester. Incentive enough for you kids? Get to it before I change my mind."

A beat. And then a tentative glance upward.
"How do they honor them, here? Back home, there isn't really anything like this. But it sounds... good."
Behold, Zack's astounding grasp of the adjective.

Angeal didn't really have a grave. And Zack had run away from home.
"Or is any graveyard good enough?"

"Maybe I'll do that, then. With any luck, the flower shop will be open today even though it's a holiday."
And if not, he could swing by Fina and ask the dishes if he could steal one of their bouquets. Yes, instead of working his shift today. They'd understand.

But the getting together with friends part...
"That much, I think I can do." The smile just turned a shade more sincere. "I mean, I can hang out around a campfire any day, but... hey. Today, too."
Re: Talk to Guy
Guy understood the nature of the teenager. Food trumps all.
Re: Talk to Guy
"I think I can toss together the ingredients easily enough," he replied. It was something short of a chirp, now. "Thanks!"

"Now get back to playin'."
