Dogma: Fuck It! | Wednesday | Period 1

The class was meeting back in the Danger Shop today. That, unfortunately, meant Loki couldn't sprawl on his desk but it also meant he might get a really fucking funny show depending on how things went.

"Morning!" he said jovially, grinning. "Glad to see you all made it back. Today, we're going to a fucking party."

With that said, Loki got the simulation going to reveal a rather raucous party in what looked to be someone's very expansive home. There was loud music, drinks and food and the ambiance was one of energy and happiness.

"Your assignment for today is to find someone in this crowd and pick them up," Loki told them. "I don't care how you do it but you find someone, you flirt with them and you either get their number or, if you're bold, get them to makeout with you. I don't care what anyone tells you, being with another person is one of the best fucking things you could ever choose to do. It feels fucking good and, unless one of you is shitty at it, it will always feel good even if you don't have those shitty feelings attached to it."

Emotions. Ugh.

"Don't fucking hold yourselves back," Loki advised. "You only live once, why waste it saving yourself? It's bullshit, it's inevitable that saving yourself probably won't matter and you're missing out. Don't waste your lives waiting, kids. Have your fun while you fucking can."

With that, he set them loose on the party.

"Maybe it just needs a little bit of time to warm up?" Zack squinted one eye a little, not entirely certain that he believed it himself. "Just how wild are we talking, here?"

"I would have loved to see people dancing on tables," the girl said, eyes wide. "Come on, that would be kickass."

Zack considered this for a moment. And then he glanced sideways, considering the nearest table for a moment.

And then... Well... Heck, why not? He flashed her a grin and offered her his hand.

"May I have this dance?"

"Seriously?" the girl asked, smile appearing. "You really wanna dance on a table with me?"

"Well, if these guys aren't going to liven up the party, then why shouldn't we?" He laughed and shrugged, shooting her one of his most winning grins. "What's the point of a party if everyone here isn't enjoying themselves, right?"

Zack logic at its finest!

"Do you even know how to dance?" the girl asked but she was laughing and not looking like she'd say no to his request.

"Not even a little bit!" Did he sound strangely proud of that fact? It was Zack. He could brag about just about anything. "Unless I've been drinking, and that's about the point where I just think I can dance, I'm pretty sure. And I love everybody."

Much like when he was sober, only in a more snuggly, kind of wobbly sort of way.

"No better time to learn though, right?"

"I guess not," the girl said and put her own drink down. "If I fall off the table, you're taking me to the hospital. Or, at least, you're taking me home while I fake an injury to get out of here."

"If you fall off the table, I'll catch you," Zack promised, grinning. "I've got pretty good reflexes."

And that? That wasn't bragging. That was just Zack speaking the honest to goodness truth while he offered her his hand again.

"Who knows? Maybe we'll start something and next thing you know, the whole room will be dancing on tables!"

"You're an optimistic guy," she said and took his hand, smiling. "I hope you're right. I'd love to start a trend."

Zack laughed lightly as he led her over to the nearest table.

"Being a pessimist has never really done anybody any favors," he pointed out. "Would you like a hand up?"

"I would, thank you," she said, nodding. "I wouldn't want to end our table dancing before it even began."

"Right!" See, that would be a really bad way to lead up to asking a girl for her number, wouldn't it?

That in mind, he was going to wink at her, put his hands on her hips, and then- "Alley-oop!" -then he was going to just kind of lift her up onto the table with no effort at all.

Which was pretty impressive, even for someone as jaded as she was. She grinned and waited for him to climb up, charmed despite herself.

Zack grinned right back, and then with one hand on the tabletop, he hefted himself up to join her.

"And here," he announced, "is where we set an example, huh?"

"I think it is," she said, nodding. "Shall we, then?"

"Of course!"

And then Zack... danced. It wasn't quite the most breathtaking dance the world had ever seen, no, but he was at least decently coordinated, considering he really had to be, as a swordsman.

... And at least he was having fun!
