The class was meeting back in the Danger Shop today. That, unfortunately, meant Loki couldn't sprawl on his desk but it also meant he might get a really fucking funny show depending on how things went.

"Morning!" he said jovially, grinning. "Glad to see you all made it back. Today, we're going to a fucking party."

With that said, Loki got the simulation going to reveal a rather raucous party in what looked to be someone's very expansive home. There was loud music, drinks and food and the ambiance was one of energy and happiness.

"Your assignment for today is to find someone in this crowd and pick them up," Loki told them. "I don't care how you do it but you find someone, you flirt with them and you either get their number or, if you're bold, get them to makeout with you. I don't care what anyone tells you, being with another person is one of the best fucking things you could ever choose to do. It feels fucking good and, unless one of you is shitty at it, it will always feel good even if you don't have those shitty feelings attached to it."

Emotions. Ugh.

"Don't fucking hold yourselves back," Loki advised. "You only live once, why waste it saving yourself? It's bullshit, it's inevitable that saving yourself probably won't matter and you're missing out. Don't waste your lives waiting, kids. Have your fun while you fucking can."

With that, he set them loose on the party.

Raven just stared. She did that a lot in this class.

"I have a boyfriend," she stated. "And I do not 'pick people up.'"

"Me too," Sookie called, looking somewhere between bewildered and irritated.

She did that a lot in this class. "And just because he's out of town doesn't mean I'm gonna go pick someone else up. Which I don't do, anyway. I'm a lady. This isn't the way to meet nice boys."

"Especially since he seems to be encouraging physical contact with emotional attachment," Raven said. "It can feel good as he says, but it is ultimately unsatisfying, and it is not something I seek out." At least, not since she'd gotten a real boyfriend. And because Mat and Jason were gone.

"Yeah, no one actually is happy with that," she replied. "Believe me, even my brother isn't really happy with that."

Lies. Jason loved hooking up with random girls.

"I do not think it is 'missing out' to prefer a deeper emotional bond, despite what our teacher says," Raven said, shooting a glance Loki's way. "Not all of us are the same!"

"No, in fact, I'd say the other way is 'missing out,'" Sookie agreed with a wide-eyed nod. "It's not as though you and I, with our boyfriends, are...not getting what he wants us to get out of this class. But why would you want a random hook-up who may or may not call you in the morning when you have a chance at something real?"

"Physical pleasure is fleeting, no matter how nice it can be," Raven said. After all, sleeping with Chuck hadn't sucked, after all. "But the emotion of love is powerful and enriching and continues to change and grow within us."

"Plus I tend to think people who just go for the one night can't do commitment," Sookie decided. "It's not like we don't get the physical aspects, in a relationship." Oh yes, blushing. "We just get, you know, potential for deeper stuff, too."

"And there is nothing wrong with valuing companionship and an emotional connection more than just" -- Raven flailed her hand about -- "the sex." Oh yes, blushing as well.

"No, there isn't," Sookie agreed. "I don't think we should be shamed for not being promiscuous."

Raven glanced over at Loki again. "Do you think he will fail us if we fail to 'pick someone up' at the party? I think his expectations are unfair."

"I don't think he will," she admitted. "He'll just call us goody-goodies. And he already did that to me once."
