Sam got to the library a little early today, and decided to do some cleaning, taking care of the dust in some of the harder to reach places that weren't so hard for him to reach. Sometimes, being tall had its advantages.

"I would have been fine either way," Chuck said, even though that wasn't necessarily true. "But thanks. Sorry I worried you."

"Don't be sorry. Just...don't fight me so much next time. Friends worry about friends, you'll get used to that at some point."

"You do realize you're just as difficult to get things out of, right?"

Sam frowned a little at that. "I know I might have been when Peter was gone, but...not all the time, right?"

"You're so good that I don't even know when something's bothering you most of the time," Chuck said with a slight shrug.

"Well, most of the time, what's bothering me isn't something that matters to anyone else," Sam said with a shrug of his own. "It's different when it's a big deal."

"I guess I can get that," Chuck said. "But I didn't think what was bothering me was a big deal. And it definitely didn't matter to you."

"News flash: anything that bothers you enough to make you as upset as you were matters to me," Sam said.

"I wasn't that upset," Chuck said defensively.

"Your issues still matter to me, because I'm a geek," Sam said with a smirk.

"And yours don't matter to me?" he asked. "Not that I'm a geek."

"No, you're Chuck," Sam said with a shrug, like that explained everything.

"I can now see why people get annoyed when I use my name as an answer for everything," Chuck said, though he didn't looked upset by Sam's answer.

Sam laughed. "I just meant that I don't expect you to care about as much as I do, because I'm the kind of person who sometimes cares about things too much. You're a lot more...sensible, I guess."

"I care just as much as you do. I'm...just not sure how to express it sometimes," he said. Yeah, that sounded about right.

"Well, if you hugged people more often, that problem might take care of itself," Sam said with a straight face.

"I think that'd just scare people, to be honest."

"I wouldn't be scared, for what that's worth," Sam said.

"Yeah, well, you're weird."
