Deep Thoughts (Thursday evening)

Anakin propped open the door to the Professor Logan's music room in preparation for the second meeting of the Deep Thoughts Club.

He had an instructional video under his arm and a sign that said "Emo Brigade members welcome."

He grabbed one of the nearest desks, sprawled into it and prepared to be emo bood think deep thoughts with his fellow members.

He also hoped Professor Logan hadn't gotten his hands on the banthabell CD.

Anakin walked over to Lee. "Sure. What do you need?"

Anakin looked shocked for a split second as he thought about the question. "Yeah, I guess I do. I mean, I've known her forever, but this--", he gestured helplessly, "thing between us is kinda new."

He stared at Lee. "Why?"

"Oh. Well. I guess it's too soon to really talk to you about the whole "can't live without [insert girl name here]" concept, right?"

Anakin ran a hand through his hair and lowered his voice. "No, I pretty much have been there all my life. I just don't want to sound all creepy stalker-guy 'I love you like I'm blind ' about it with her." His eyebrows went up. "You need advice about women?"

He tried not to snicker. "And you're asking me?"

"I'm just curious if angsting about that one special lady is ... I dunno, determintal to one's health, heroism and ability to understand good and evil?"

Anakin furrowed his brow. "I might not be the person to ask about that. I mean, by being with Padmé I'm kinda jumping over this major thing my Order has with us and getting attached to people. In that we're not supposed to." He shrugged. "I don't think it's really affected the rest of my viewpoint about good and evil, though."

He looked at Lee. "Why? You think you're getting all turned upside-down and inside-out? Losing who you are?"

"Yeah. I don't know what I'd do if I lost her or if she betrayed me or ... gods, I sound ridiculous, don't I?"

Anakin felt his stomach twist into a knot at the thought of Padmé being hurt or leaving. His eyes flashed. "No, I think I know what you're talking about." He forced a quick smile. "Who's the lucky girl?"

Lee totally noticed Anakin's eyes flashing and feels the hair on the back of his neck stand up. "Er. Don't tell anyone, will you?"

Anakin snorted. "Who do I talk to?" His eyes turned serious. "Go ahead and tell me. You're dying to anyway."

"Err-- Kara Thrace," he said meekly as something was compelling him to talk.

Anakin thought about what Lee said for a moment, paying no attention to the idea he might've accidentally compelled him to say anything. "Blonde, pilot, nice laugh?" he asked. "I like her. Good choice."

Lee blushes. "Well, if it crimps my style as a hero, I dunno if it's so wise. But I just can't stop thinking about her!"

"Now that I know something about. Terrifying, isn't it?" He looked around as the rest of the Emo Gang club was getting up and leaving.

"You want to talk about this somewhere else?"
