Physical Education, 4th Period - 5/17

"Alright," Guy said as soon as the class was assembled. "Last week we did that introduction crud, so this week we'll be playing a lil' game for you all to really get to know each other. Football."

That smirk of his was highly unnecessary.

"Split off into two teams and get to it." A beat. "And no, this ain't flag football, but if you get out of hand, I will throw your dumb ass in detention, got it? Good. Get to it."

There was a pause as he looked over the teams and how it was a bit uneven the way he had if figured out originally.

"Reyes, you can ref."

Ah, that also solved the problem of his ring going into overdrive with the kid 'attacking' people.

"Yeah, like I was just gonna let you handle it," Guy replied with a snort. "You get in there and start gettin' tackled, how the hell is your bug and my ring gonna respond?"

"The Scarab would be fine," Jaime growled. Even though, now that he thought about it, he wasn't exactly sure about that...

"Uh huh." Guy crossed his arms over his chest like he totally believed that.

...or that might have been because him and the bug would never get along. Never ever.

Jaime almost argued the point, but this was Guy. That meant there was no point in arguing since he was too hardheaded to change his mind.

"Fine," Jaime threw up his hands in exasperation (in lieu of throwing up, since the arguing was only making his headache worse). "I'll ref your stupid game."

Yeah. Jaime Reyes, bastion of maturity.

"Knew ya'd see things my way!" Guy replied, going to hook an arm over Jaime's shoulder all friendly like. "Didja know there was a Robin in town?"

Guy, stop gossiping.

"I assume you don't mean the bird?" Jaime asked, rubbing at his temples.

Guy shot him a look. "As in Bat's sidekick. Geeze, kid."

Jaime shot Guy a glare. "No. I didn't know we had one."

And now Jaime's headache was capped with some part of his brain trying to figure out who it might be.

"It's like weird reunion around here." Really, how many people from home were here?

"Well, he's probably from some other timeline or something." That's how things seemed to go around here, after all.

"Everyone is." Baaaaatmaaaaan.

"I noticed," Jaime rolled his eyes sarcastically.

And he didn't even know about Batman.

Hey, he went to the Batcave. He should know these things.

"Yeah, yeah. Get to work before I need to take a migraine pill."

Hey, cut the kid some slack. It was his first superheroing gig! He'd been distracted!

Jaime scowled. But he turned to watch the game. He'd do the job.
