Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III
Hopefully things weren't so awkward before. Maybe things ended up well. Maybe, just maybe, you ended up meeting someone special.
Or you took your shirt off because Layla Miller convinced you it was destiny. But she's a damn dirty liar and well know it.
[Please wait for OCD is up! This is the SECOND post for general mingling. Use this post if your browser can't handle the comment load of the first mingling post. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are here.]

Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"They won't turn me into anything, will they?" But, whatever, she was going to reach for a cookie anyway. "Thanks."
And if it turned her into something... it could only be better than her afternoon at the moment. If she was lucky it would wear off. "Rosalind," she added. Wait. "That's my name, sorry."
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Hell, she'd had an overwhelming day herself, and she'd been in Fandom most of a year.
She eyed the cookies dubiously. "I think they're just peanut butter," she said, not snarkily. "Do cookies turn people into other things a lot where you're from?"
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
And that was a weary laugh as she winced. Ow. Headache. Laughing was bad. "Or not. I would almost rather be a frog right now."
It would be easier. And, mmmm, the cookie was actually pretty good.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
She took a cookie and added, meditatively, "We try to keep her from doing it. So. She, uh, probably couldn't help you."
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
And ten years older than she should've been.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
She took another, tiny bite of cookie. "I don't mind it, but it would have been nice for her to have asked first. Didi you tell your sister?"
Of course, if Delirium asked -- ever -- she wouldn't be Delirium. Dream was the only one to get that kind of courtesy, and Dream got it by demanding it.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
She muttered something that sounded a lot like 'this island is going to drive me mad' under her breath.
"It was... a shock." Rosalind still wasn't sure what to make of some of the reactions Elena had had.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
She shook her head slowly, not daring to think about what she'd do if one of the other five turned up here to teach. "How did your sister take it?"
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
A short huff.
"Actually, I do know. She hugged me then picked a fight that I don't even know how it wound up the way it did." Major miscommunication issues, yes.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Because Desire and Dream were totally besties, but that was its own thing.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"We're not always on the best of terms," she admitted. "I don't know. There was something about it that bothers me. It might just be that suddenly she's older than I am."
Which was a perfectly valid reason to find everything thrown off, yes.
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
She smiled, also faintly. "I'm worrying about my sister too, but -- I guess it's better she's here than she's somewhere else."
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"There's some other stuff about our family," she acknowledged, turning to Rosalind more fully, "but it's not really I-met-you-five-minutes-ago conversation. What's yours like?"
[OOC: NIGHT.]
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
That was... well, that was a family specific thing.
[Night!]
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Her smile twitched. "And nothing at all like you, huh?"
Re: More General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Rosalind glanced sideways at her and just shook her head. She didn't want to know what was strange about Didi. Not today.
