Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part III

Hopefully things weren't so awkward before. Maybe things ended up well. Maybe, just maybe, you ended up meeting someone special.

Or you took your shirt off because Layla Miller convinced you it was destiny. But she's a damn dirty liar and well know it.

[Please wait for OCD is up! This is the SECOND post for general mingling. Use this post if your browser can't handle the comment load of the first mingling post. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are here.]

It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to say that Cassidy was feeling a little overwhelmed and a bit out of place as she wandered the picnic. Finally, though, she politely helped herself to some of the food and went to find a shady spot beneath one of the trees to sit.

Alice had taken a small plate of food, to blend in better, and was now finding a shady spot of her own. That happened to be right next to Cassidy.

"Hi," she said with a smile as she dropped down gracefully into a sitting position.

Cassidy blinked and then gave a shy smile to the girl sitting next to her. "Hello," she said politely.

"I'm Alice. What's your name?"

Reticence and Alice? Had never even met.

Cassidy lowered her glass. "I'm Cassidy. It's nice to meet you, Alice. Are you a new student as well?"

Alice nodded. "This place is... interesting, isn't it?"

"That's a very good description," Cassidy agreed.

"Some of the people here are a little... unusual."

And considering she was a vampire, that said a lot.

She nodded. "I think that it's the most unusual place I have ever seen."

"It's definitely top of my list, too," Alice said. And really, she'd traveled a lot. She'd seen more than most.

"So what made you decide to come here?" She asked politely.

"I needed a change," Alice said. "Needed something that wasn't my usual. And this place isn't usual."

Cassidy looked around them. "Yes, I don't think anyone would call this usual by any idea."

"What about you?" Alice asked curiously. "What brings you here?"

"Oh. My mother thought that I needed some new experiences outside of my home village."
