Fandom High Welcome Picnic, Front Lawn of the School, All Day: Part II
The weather was still lovely, of course. And there were all these neat tables of moddable snackies to help break those awkward silences that were so common with teenage get-togethers.
So... yeah.
Enjoy!
[Please wait for the OCD is up! This is the FIRST post for general mingling. Please use this post first, if your browser can handle the comment load. Roommates, fake siblings and teachers are here and there is more room for mingling here.]
So... yeah.
Enjoy!

Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
And then there was that scent, the one that brought the all too familiar burning sensation to the back of his throat. Somehow it felt more familiar than the scent of the Moroi and dhampirs.
It was all too obvious how every muscle in his body tense thanks to the whole shirtless thing and the easy smile disappeared, his nose wrinkled in disgust. His height let him easily scan the crowd and then he noticed her. The tiny one, Bella's friend. He knew he wasn't mistaken, the scent made sure of that and he found himself approaching her regardless of the little warning voice at the back of his head. Strange how that voice sounded like Didi.
"What are you doing here?"
Hi, nice to see you too, Alice.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
And then she got that greeting and got startled all over again.
"Going to school," she said with her usual cheerfulness, tempered by the slightest bit of caution. Maybe this wasn't her Jacob after all. Because the Jacob she knew was actually civil to her now... though he hadn't always been.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"Why? Isn't Forks enough anymore that you've got to follow me here?"
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"And I did not follow you," she said archly. A few seconds of trying to decide what to say -- because this obviously wasn't the Jacob she knew, even if it was quite decidedly Jacob -- brought her to say, "I wanted a new experience and Jasper found me a pamphlet about this place, and here I am."
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"Who else's here?" he wasn't really asking, more commanding an answer. Fuck it, he wasn't playing nice. Bella wasn't here to make him.

Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"What did Bella say?" He hadn't exactly been in contact with her, been ignoring his mails and the text messages on his phone, but he wondered if she'd had a hand in this too.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"She was all for me coming here," Alice finally settled on, because it'd been the truth.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
And then there was the scent, burning his throat and why could they not leave him alone? Wasn't it enough already?
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
It might've made a difference.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Okay, so the snide remark just had to go in.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Actually, he did well to remember it himself. He could run into her, get stuck in class with her.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
That and that he was going to be grumpy for a very long time to come.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"I'm not anyone's keeper," he snapped. "Least of all a frigging leech's."
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
Wait, he probably should have told her that. Which meant she got there first and that was kind of annoying. Stupid leech. "Fine. I'm keeping you to that," he assured her.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
She paused.
"At least we're not roommates."
There might've been a hint of a smile there.
Re: General Mingling (Summer 2010)
"I'd go sleep outside," he shot back. "Fine, you've got yourself a deal."
