The weather was still lovely, of course. And there were all these neat tables of moddable snackies to help break those awkward silences that were so common with teenage get-togethers.

Kate had meant to do the chocolate coin thing again. She'd even bought the coins, yesterday. ...And then, while she watched some dumb movie, she'd ended up eating most of them.

Sorry, new third floor kids.

So, Kate was just wandering around this time, and enjoying the atmosphere. There were only a few kids moving on the floor, anyway, and she could still talk to them without handing out bribes.

It was almost an okay day.
