The weather was still lovely, of course. And there were all these neat tables of moddable snackies to help break those awkward silences that were so common with teenage get-togethers.

Denise pulled a face. "That would involve sharing," she said, like that was a particularily disgusting word. "Besides, I'm bored."

"Nah, I like him," Denise said, sitting back. "He's got that whole psychopathic killer vibe going. While running around in red jammies. That takes balls the size of Australia."
