Flight Club [after classes]

It was a lot quieter outside the flight shed today than it had been last Monday, and whether that was a good thing or a bad one, Tahiri was withholding judgment on the question.

"Hey, everyone," she said, fiddling with her comlink just for the sake of something to do with her hands. "So . . . end of the semester already, huh? After last night, and with more finals to go for a lot of us, it seems like today should be a pretty easygoing day. Like Warren said a couple of weeks ago, this point in the semester ought to be for fun. Of course, some of us --" she gave Ben an amused but pointed look -- "have different ideas of what counts as fun. So we've got a few different choices for you today, to blow off some of that finals stress steam."

Ben's eyes twinkled back at her. "For the space option, we're going to let you get back into a snubfighter--but this time it's the A-Wing, which is a lot zippier than the X-Wing. I know this makes me a traitor to the family and stuff, but it's totally astral for flying through asteroid fields."

Ben had a strange sense of fun. "So that's what you'll be doing. Try not to get smushed."

Tahiri was so not surprised about his strange sense of fun. "And for your atmospheric option today, have an XCOR EZ-Rocket experimental plane, and see how fast you can get those twin rocket engines to go."

Ben smiled at everyone. "And there's pizza and ice cream, as well. Don't take it too near the sims."

"Search your feelings," Anakin replied softly. "You can figure out where he is."

Leia closed her eyes. "He's protecting my brother," she said after a short moment.

"Good," Anakin praised.

Which meant that he probably wouldn't ever be showing up in Fandom. Anakin felt relief and regret at the exact same moment over that.

Probably, but you never knew who might show up on Parents Weekend.

"Do I have to play dumb when I meet my Luke?" Leia said, opening her eyes. "In my timeline, I mean. How much will it change things if I told him he was my brother?"

It would save a galaxy's worth of awkwardness, that was for sure.

"I'm not sure," Anakin said after a bit of a pause. "Maybe you can ask my Luke for his thoughts on it?"

There would definitely be no kiss on Hoth, that much was certain. A kiss on the cheek for luck on the Death Star? That was acceptable.

Leia nodded. "I'll ask him," she said.

"He'll be here for graduation," Anakin said. "I was half expecting him to walk out of the portal with the other kids."

"And wouldn't that have made our first meeting awkward," Leia grinned.

"You could've tried to explain your children to him," Anakin teased.

"At least he would've likely been too young to express his displeasure with the fathers," Leia said.

Anakin snickered. "Maybe. But it's Luke. It takes a lot to get him to express displeasure with anything."

"Oh, good, then he won't mind that I have a date with Dean Winchester during graduation weekend," Leia said casually.

"You have a what?"

"A date with Dean Winchester," Leia repeated, smiling innocently. "I ran into him in town last week. We figured if we were going to have a child we should probably get to know each other better."

Anakin sighed heavily and reached up to rub at the bridge of his nose. "Really."

"He'll be back on the island for Sam's graduation," Leia said. And she just had to add, smirking, of course, "He has a lot of stories about when you were a student here."

Anakin muttered a Huttese curse. "Did he."

"Certain things you don't want your current students knowing about?" Leia teased.

"Many, many things I don't want my students knowing about," Anakin grumped.

"Then I definitely won't tell anyone about how you kissed Sam," Leia said Terribly Innocently. "Actually, I believe it was described as 'Anakin got plastered and then plastered one on my little brother.'"

Anakin hid his face with his hand. "Why does he remember that?"

"I have to admit, I'm curious as to what else he might tell me," Leia said. Actually, she was afraid of what he might say. Her brain could only handle so much at a time. "There was nothing like that in the history I studied back home."

Anakin smiled a little ruefully. "Perhaps I had all of that information scrubbed."

"And unfortunately you can't eliminate your former classmates as easily?" Leia teased.

Tempting as it may have been at some times, Bel.

"It's on my to do list," Anakin lied with a grin. "Mindwipe all embarrassing memories of me...but so many other things keep coming up."
