Modeling for Dummies, Thursday 4/15

"Hopefully ya'll are done being sacks of emo about fake future kids and are ready to get back to work. Today, you'll be working with a very demanding client."

Who was currently scribbling on some probably important papers on Deadpool's desk. Oh, they could just get some new important papers from IKEA.

"Jan here needs an outfit that says 'Look at me, I'm much more awesome than a Skywalker' and you people are gonna design it for her. Got it?"

"An' giraffes!"

Deadpool nodded solemnly. "You heard the woman, and giraffes. More awesome than Skywalkers and giraffes combined."

Right, this couldn't be too hard. The kid couldn't be too discerning so Hannibal went to work, trying to design something fuzzy with fringe and some stick figure giraffe.

What fake future kids? Not that Emmett was feeling smug about that one. Much.

Not that this kid wasn't mega-adorable, but Emmett hadn't been doing anything he could possibly get kids from unlike......... her two guy parents.

'Kay, maybe not so smug.

So he'd just be settling in to work on the sparklingest piece of giraffe-related fabulosity he could conceive of.

Sam thought Grace was cuter, but there might have been some bias there. At least this week's assignment wasn't anything embarrassing.

"Giraffes!"

Jan was delighted to be there.

"An' red!"

And full of grabby hands.

Oh my gosh, Deadpool's kid was adorable. "Sweetie?" Tara ventured. "What color do you like best?"

[identity profile] spring-lost.livejournal.com 2010-04-15 05:26 pm (UTC)(link)
"Red!" Jan giggled.

There was a short beat.

"No. Blue!"

She was a tough customer.

"Purple is like red and blue?" Tara ventured, after thinking about it for a moment. "And purple is just an awesome color."

Yes, it was Tara's favorite. Shhhh.

"It looks pretty on girls with pretty red hair like you."

"Is not blue," she argued, giving Tara what might have been angry eyes if it wasn't for the fact that they were big and blue green and she wasn't having trouble sitting still.
life_inshadow: ([pos] pretty + amused)

Re: Talk to the Client

[personal profile] life_inshadow 2010-04-15 05:37 pm (UTC)(link)
Jan's sheer levels of cute made the angry eyes somewhat less than effective. Seriously, she kind of made up for all the weird weeks in class.

"OKay," Tara promised quickly. "Pretty blue dress. And I'll make a giraffe on it."

It would be wobbly, Tara's sewing skills being what they were, but she was pretty sure she could find brown scraps somewhere.

[identity profile] spring-lost.livejournal.com 2010-04-15 05:40 pm (UTC)(link)
Jan's argument about the colour of the dress (she'd just changed her mind again) was rather abruptly derailed. "Giraffe!" she crowed. "Yellow spotty giraffe!" Someone had been reading books.

"Yellow spotty giraffe," Tara agreed readily. "Do you know what a giraffe says?"

Trick questions weren't really mean, were they?
