Outdoor Fitness and Strategy [Monday, Period One]

The class had received an email telling them to meet at the Danger Shop and to bring a set of bathers. Inside was an idyllic beach, probably somewhere in the Bahamas, judging from the clear blue waves and the white sand.

A number of nets with courts marked with witches' hats were set up on the beach, along with a number of balls. "Given the weekend, we'll be having another easy class this week," Bond said, tossing a ball to the nearest student. "Pair up for some pick-up games of beach volleyball, or if you'd prefer to stay away from team sports, you can practice your swimming."

Kyle Reese

Kyle was definitely giving off a 'no touchy' vibe today. He wasn't taking off his coat, even though the situation clearly called for it, and he kept diving his time between walking down to the water and then back to look at the volleyball court without actually really doing anything.

Jonas

Jonas had mostly stayed out of the way this weekend so he was feeling slightly restless when he arrived to class. Swimming seemed the best way to burn some of that off so that's what he'd be doing.

Gwynn Hood

Gwynn spent a lot of time in the pool to work out some energy.

Beka wasn't fond of swimming and she'd opted to keep herself dry, but that didn't mean she couldn't wander to the edge of the pool. She'd even dangle her feet in the water as she waited for Jonas to be near enough to talk to him.

"You're turning into a water rat," she teased once he was. She'd obviously been out fighting, she'd the scratches and bruises to show for it, but aside from that she appeared to be fine.

"Is that a good thing?" Jonas asked, smiling up at her even while taking in those cuts and bruises. A brief look of concern passed over his face but it fell away when he did realize she was fine. "I've never been called a water rat before."

"It'd only be bad if you're drowning or trying to bite someone," she assured him, doing her own appraisal to make certain he'd not gotten in trouble.

"I'm not doing either," he said, sounding pretty grateful about that. He'd stayed completely out of the fog save for the one trip to the library so his skin was unblemished. "Were you all right this weekend?"

"Busy," she said, frowning a little. "It'd be nice if the island didn't go from one opposite to the other. Either there's naught to do or we're run off our feet," she said, though she sounded mostly amused.

"At least it gives you an excuse to rest this week?" he suggested, resting his arms on the edge of the pool beside her. "Not that I think you will but it's a suggestion."

"I'll pretend to consider it," she teased, reaching out to brush her fingers through his wet hair.

"Which means no," he said, not sounding at all put out by her answer. Maybe it was the fingers in his hair. That was really nice. "You're resting some right now."

"I should be working out," she said with a frown. Not that she was moving. She didn't know the ball game and she had enough water from where she was sitting. Twas easy to just keep playing with his hair. "I'd not want Master Bond to think I'm a lazy scut."

"You don't think he knows that by now?" Jonas wondered, leaning into her hand and sighing. "I think he knows that. If not, I'll be happy to tell him so."
