World Mythology -- Third Period -- Monday

Ghanima had flung open all the classroom windows today, letting in as much fresh air as possible. The desks were gone, replaced with the large fluffy pillows that the students most likely knew to associate with a movie day. Today, however, they'd only be half-right.

"Hello, students," she said once everyone had arrived. "I handwavily was away last week, just getting in this morning, and I understand you had an unfortunate encounter."

"So today, we'll be watching a movie, and then you'll grab some weapons and go outside to reenact it as you like. And yes, you may keep your swords."

[OOC: Going up early in case work eats me. Wait for the fluffy OCD is on the loose!]

...should it degenerate to out-and-out fighting, Ghanima will step in and crack your heads together until you remember your manners.

Raven was definitely abstaining from swordplay. Even though she knew the weapons were padded and no one was being hurt, it still made her uncomfortable.

Raven found some parts of the film very interesting. She looked away during the fighting scenes, however. And she couldn't help but think that perhaps the poor Kraken would have been a much more peaceful creature if it wasn't chained up and forced to kill on command. Poor thing.

Jaina still had her stupid sling on her arm, and was in a fantastic mood since everything still hurt, but she was entirely grateful for a chance to do nothing.

Oh, don't think Tahiri didn't notice the sling, and don't think Jaina wasn't going to get a distinct frown for it, even though she wasn't asking outright. Movie day or not, talking in Master Atreides's classes still seemed like a bad idea.

Jaina caught the frown, and made a face back at her. She'd learned it from her father, and it clearly said It's not my fault!

Okay, look, Tahiri was not supposed to be the Jedi who came out of the weekend relatively unscathed. That just was not supposed to happen. If there was anything lingering from getting attacked last week, it was more curiosity and concern than resentment.

Still, Nerf swords. Fun.

Yes, Tahiri was very familiar with that expression, having seen it from Han, her Jaina, and Anakin on multiple occasions.

She shook her head, grinning slightly in a way that was meant to say -- affectionately -- Why do I put up with you Solos again?

To her credit, the pain didn't exactly reach her face, except for the way she sucked in her lips to not curse in class.

Well, yeah, there was that. And that got the frown from Tahiri again, just for a second. Could she help it if she kind of preferred not seeing Jaina injured on a semi-frequent basis?

Also, Tahiri muffled a slight snicker and rolled her eyes in response, more of a teasing That went without saying than anything else.

And there may have been a little Hey face at the snicker. She'd taken an injury here trying to defend the town! ...After totally jinxing it by complaining for weeks that she was bored.
