Modeling for Dummies, Thursday 3/4/10

"Oh, that week off didn't last long enough, kids," Deadpool informed them, taking a nice, healthy sip of his completely PG coffee that wasn't Irished up in the slightest.

Really.

"So! In show business, which there is no business like, they say never work with kids or animals. Which means ya'll need to take pictures with kids and animals for my amusement and for real life experience in the matter blah blah blah. We all know this class is for funsies. Unless our T.A. is harboring dreams of making it big as the next Ashton Kutcher. In which case... dream big. Dream big."

And ignore the weird meta. Please?

"Get to posing with them!"

"Big words from the man teaching a modeling class..." Nate said, lifting up Jan onto his shoulder now that he could. "It's that the school has video."

"And what was this class supposed to accomplish?"

"I have," Nate said, eyeballing the pony. "I'm just curious." Considering that he'd lended his wee saviour o' the world to the whole thing.

There was a long pause of consideration.

Then, "We're not getting a pony."

He was just establishing that in case Wade got any ideas.

"Where did you get it...?"

Nate paused, moving mainly to keep Jan from climbing up on his metal arm. "I knew that," he said, "Well, theoretically, it's the case."

Not that Nate had ever kept to that whenever he needed a horse.

"No," Nate said, "But sometimes the roads aren't safe for normal transportation." So he'd stolen a horse. In their line of work, that was hardly unusual.

"It had sturdy feet," Nate deadpanned, pulling Jan out of his hair.
